If it's not love, then it's definitely obsession.

Take an English lesson before you start defining anything.

My question: Is it possible to delete threads when they are very blatantly aimed at "attacking" (for lack of a better word) one certain poster and add nothing to the gc community?

Apparently. ;)

I was thinking that this one should be deleted.

Anyway, I'm done.

Have fun shit talking about me, though! I'm especially enjoying the lies you're attempting to spread about me. I'm shocked that you couldn't be any more creative! :)

Continue to poke fun at me amongst yourselves....:D

so OTW can violate any rule she wants, she cusses and attacks other posters. yet when people give it back to her, their post gets deleted.

Good job moderators.

SUch pure BS.

Oh but wait, OTW is such a huge deal. So nevermind. She can go hang out with the former 4th member of Hansen since she knew him before he was a member of Hansen.

Yes. If a moderator in the particular forum agrees that it is an attack on a specific person or people. That's assuming I understand your question correctly.

You don't think this entire thread should be deleted? What purpose does it really serve?

I think the original question of the thread is legitimate.

I will continue to delete posts that make unsubstantiated comments about alcoholism or mental illness or those that imply the same.

I believe you understand my question perfectly. What I don't think you understand is that I was speaking about this particular thread. And I believe you are the moderator of this forum- making it your call. You know a lot about what goes on on GC... Do you honestly think that this thread was NOT started as a point of attack on one certain poster? Because everyone else seems to have gotten that impression.

DeltAlum 02-12-2006 12:10 AM

See my post just above yours.

What I really think about this thread is that it is a not so subtle dig at Hoosier, and in another case at the way I've handled a couple of other threads in this forum that some other people take issue with.

To repeat, I do think the original question is legitimate and a topic worth discussing. Like many other threads (probably all of them, in fact) this one has gone way off track.

Much farther and it will be gone.

Hmm, these seem to fit together pretty well. This whole thread is BS and you know it. It is not meant for rational discussion, it is meant to stir up trouble. And yet you let it go on.

First, I think the original intent was to make the posters point, but not necessarily to stir up trouble.

Second, don't assume that you know what I think about anything.

I will decide what gets deleted and if and when the thread itself is closed, moved or deleted.

Since all sides of the question think I'm doing a bad job, I must be being something right.

It's what they pay me so much to do here at GC.

DeltAlum 02-12-2006 12:57 AM

Enough, Rudey. I'm not amused. I'm considering your PM, but your not helping your cause. And there's a pretty good case for harassment which is definitely against the TOS.
