The webmaster for my alumnae chapter has a full time job, is a mother, AND is the webmaster of our award winning website. She's never put anything on a site without first researching it. So don't even start with the "mnay other demands on their time". If they are too busy, they should let other people do it.

Agreed. Talk about your own group all you want, but there is ZERO need to even MENTION other groups. If your group is that great, it will stand out on its own, without any need to dog other groups.

In NYC, if you ride the subway, there are a lot of strange retards that do begging. They can flaunt that they have no limbs or make weird retard noises. Lots of wonderful things to brighten up your day with the cheer that only comes from such great misfortune.

I am not sure about NPHC Organizations are that way either, I will have to ask a friend of mine.

But, The NIC and PHC Organizations are Social Organizations-Not Their Majors.

Their Minors are not Charity.

It is a hand in glove thing along with making Grades to give a well rounded life. We are expected to participate in other School Organizations whether it be Socal, Educational, Physical, or Committees of each, not all at once.

Many like Myself as can be seen on GC are Members of Service Organizations and others. Time in College is precious and be spread around so much.

Please do not generalize as You have. It is unbecoming for the type of Organization that You profess.

I do agree that the information written is poorly worded and does sound extremely insulting to all NPC sororities.

But I don't agree how you all are handling the situation. Granted, I am not in a NPC sorority (and I don't mean to offend any of y'all cause y'all are great) but OPhiARen is just a member and really has no authority on what is written on that website. Just cause ya'll are getting mad at her doesn't make the situation any better, and it won't get the words changed quickly. In fact, it might even delay the process.

There was already a lady from O Phi A who said that she would work to get it changed, there really is no need to continue to berade (did I spell that word right?) OPhiARen. She's just trying to appease everyone. I don't think think she intentionally meant to offend SmartBlondeGPhiB or anyone else.

What would ya'll do if you were in her situation? If someone from Sorority ABC said that your sorority had offensive material about ABC on y'alls website, how would you handle the situation?

When I'm describing OPA to interested girls, they usually ask what the difference is between a service sorority and a social sorority. While I am not in control of the national website, I am in control of my own response to that question, so do you all have any suggestions for ways I can explain the difference without being offensive?

How about we not find the most piddlyass comments to get offended about and pick fights over, hmmmmm? The OPhiA's on this thread have bent over backwards to explain themselves to everyone and the whole time we have new people joining in and jumping on different parts of their posts to pick fights. Nothing these girls have posted has been in a malicious manner. Other than the website, which we've been told will be looked at, none of the other statements on this thread are worth getting riled up over.
