In Hawaii the McDonalds restaurants have the fruit punch, spam 'n eggs 'n rice and Portuguese sausage eggs 'n rice for breakfast, and Saimin (which is pretty much like ramen with garnishings). Do you know of any other McDs out there that have things on the menu unique to certain parts of the country?

I went to Mexico over the summer and they had a McSalsa (burger with salsa and guacamole only). They had more fruit on the menu (not just the dinky mandarin oranges), they had orange smoothies, chorizo (spicy sausage) burritos, carne asada tacos, and of course flan (custard).

I have seen some McDonalds in South Ga that serve grits.

I remember at the largest McDonalds in the world in Orlando served pizza.

I've seen poutine on the menu at McDonalds in Toronto.

Around here they had bratwurst for a couple years during football season. The one on 42nd Street in NYC near Times Square had little teeny donuts.

In the UK they have this really good pasta salad, and right now they've got toasted deli sandwiches. (Click the other links on that page and you can see some of the other things they have in the UK)

SuckDonald's has many menu variations to cater to regional tastes. You can't find a lobster roll at a Texas McDonald's but they're all over the Mickey D's in New England. And they're always test-marketing new menu items in smaller and select markets. (I used to work for one of the kitchen equipment manufacturers for SuckDonald's. No, I don't have 'ketchup in my blood' - as dedicated McD employees refer to themselves.)

There's one in Miami, in the Little Havana neighborhood, that was the only McD's in the world that had cafe con leche on the menu.

I love McDonalds, but I only eat there every once in a while. I prefer my arteries unclogged and I don't want to sport a muffin top.

I don't know about around here (I eat a McD's breakfast sandwich about once a month), but I've heard that the McDonalds in Israel are all kosher.

I think the worst hamburger I've ever eaten was from McDonalds In London.

Otherwise, I don't mind the once in a while.

This is a joke, right?

OTW, do McDonald's in Hawaii offer pineapple on some sandwiches? I could have sworn that the one I went to did, but I could have also dreamt that up. It was a long, loooong vacation. ;)

LOL Kiki, I don't think I've ever had any McDs sandwiches with pineapples. I know a lot of other burger places do, but I'm thinkin McDs burgers wouldn't really taste too good with a slice of pineapple.

Our trash cans do say 'MAHALO' instead of 'THANKS', though. :p

All the McDonald's in Australia serve beets on their sandwiches. They have a McOz burger, and they have Cadbury Flake and Cadbury Cream McFlurries. Yum :)

ETA: I forgot, they have Vegemite, Marmalade, and Curry Sauce as condiments.
