You do undestand the entire section you quoted refers to preparing for spiritual warfare as right? you do also understand that it was in again the context of defending themselves in spiritual/theological debates in the community right? finally you do understand that again allegorical symbolism was being used - and in the entirity of the quote it talks of armour or defending themselves... the WMD you compared prayer to are weapons not armour...

Nice - misinterpreting theological symbolism used to explain how discerning and exacting the Lord in seeing the true nature of a person; and equating it to a weapon of violence... though I do find it telling you did actually use any of Christ's words - is that because you couldn't find much in terms of Christ using the imagery or violence or war in the promotion of his message?

Again though I think you are missing the context of why Paul uses the symbolism he does - Who was Paul? What culture was he a citizen of? and finally how militaristic was the symbolism of the society in which Paul grew up?

If you contrast the symbolism used by Chirst or writers of the New Testament you might notice that they don't use the symbolism of warfare or armaments like Paul does - because they are coming from a different cultural background.

Finally whats with the all capitals? Do you think that makes the message more powerful despite the fact it highlights your mistakes?
