I think it's more that these are the main ones that you see on tv. Also, if these people are to be thought of as children and incabable of taking care of themselves, wouldn't they have others who ARE capable to take care of them?

I wouldn't consider those people smart.... I would actually consider that pretty ignorant. *Personal opinion*

No. You see a person as a reasonable adult does not mean that they think like one...

I'm sorry you walked into this one... Do you know what it is like living life on the street? Since your mommy and daddy have sheltered you for your entire life, how do you know what its like to have to hustle for a way of life. No. I am not condoning their actions. But, really, when you do not have a way from the very beginning like you have had and being afforded the access by mommy and daddy for your life, you cannot say how you would do it if you never had support from them.

On that note, I am in a VERY cynical mood today and I am PMSing. So I am really snap happy and will snip at just about anyone that says some bullshit to me. And yeah, I am grown enough to handle what I can dish out, too...
