I've seen this one before only with "sisters wanted" and a picture of a VW Bug on it.
"On the road of life, there are friends, and there are (sisters/brothers)" I think this one would make for a great recruitment shirt. |

They've also used "The Greek World" with a logo like the RW logo and the "this is the true story.." thing on the back. |

And "everyone's parade" affects all of us. I have the right to express that. Sorry you don't like it, sorry if being mature is raining on everyone's parade. And it's not like i'm the only one who said anything, so don't try to make me the bad guy |

We had one for our date dance that was really cute. On the front it had a martini class, and instead of the olive, it was a heart. On the back it read "When stars shine bright and the moon gets hazy, Sigma Kappa date dance where the good girls get crazy" |

No where did I say some of these weren't funny or that people couldn't talk about them. But some of these have been REAL shirts from some of the GCers chapters! It's not just a theoretical, funny saying thread. I do think some of them are funny. But some of them are very inappropriate. People in general on GC are always complaining about how GDIs and admin and other greeks view their chapter. These sorts of shirts aren't going to help that. Some of these slogans are great, others may sound funny but could be a major PR downer. And if you have a problem with me personally, feel free to take it to PM instead of randomly trying to start something in a thread. |
We had a Luau mixer with Sigma Nu once, and we made the mistake of letting their social organizer decide the t-shirt design...
On the front it had a hula lady in the center of the shirt...on each side of her were two leis...and when one of the girls wears the shirt, you can guess where the leis fall and what it "accents" The writing on the front wasn't bad, Just Sigma Nu, Alpha Xi Delta Luau, something simple. On the back it said "Kamana Wana Leiya" Needless to say....most of us girls dont ever wear that shirt in public (I think I sleep in mine, at most), but of course, the guys wear it all the time. |
It might just be me, but I thought the simpler shirts were always better. I guess mainly for rush, it would be hard to do for a mixer t-shirt.
For instance, the year I rushed, KD's rush shirt was hunter green with white writing across the chest that said Kappa Delta, with a small daisy on either end. Nothing big, but much more effective and looked nice. Very noticeable than some random shirt with a bunch of writing or pictures on it that you had to read. Chi Os also did something sorta similar with different colors. DZs had the I Love DZ shirts. |

Heh, that's funny because one of the sorority's here hold their annual dance w/the same name :D Well, almost, it's "Come On I Wanna Lei'a" ..or something like that :p They have bikini contests and everything, a great time to be held by all, it's especially fun to see faculty there, lol! |
When I was at school, one of the single letter sororities had t shirts made that said "Three Times Better Than You" and it really didn't help their already snotty-girl reputation.
A fraternity that wasn't very big or popular wore t shirts that said "XYZ - Chicks Dig Us" and I know they got a couple of good mixers out of it. If they were the slick, self-satisfied fraternity, though, it wouldn't have been so charming. |
