As long as it doesn't affect your job or your real social life - i.e. you can't go on a date without talking about it - it's harmless. Everyone needs an outlet of some sort.

Oh, and as far as the virginity girl is concerned, if I made a list of the movies I saw that were better than when I lost my virginity, I'd have, like, a long list. :)

No that's what I meant. Dressing up for a Jimmy Buffet concert or whatever is just plain fun. But when it becomes YOUR LIFE, that's where I see a problem.

Or when you annoy the crap out of everyone in every class you have. There was this girl in my college, in my same program, who was obsessed with Disney. Like everytime she'd contribute to a conversation, she'd bring up Disney. Everyone knew her and everyone knew she "The Disney Girl". I couldn't help but crack up in the middle of class when I saw her doodling Mickey Mouse and the whole page was full of Disney stuff.

I think we're going to need a bigger rock, Ladies!

No disrespect, Nikki, but if you'd done that to me we wouldn't be married anymore.

*plans on avoiding this thread until she has finished the book, as she is sure Nikki would like to share the last chapter with her as well* ;)

Agreed. It's one thing to dislike Harry Potter, but to go out of your way to ruin it for someone who does like it? That's cruel and terribly insensitive. If my boyfriend did that to me we'd be having big problems right now - not just because he ruined the ending (which isn't THAT big of a deal) but because of the underlying factors.

Stuff like that really pisses me off.

Sorry, but my husband and I play like that. I didn't "OMG RUIN!" it for him, he admits he would have read the last chapter before he got to it. I didn't ruin it for anyone else, I didn't post it on here or any place else. I had no plans to run about shouting it to the masses, nor would I have told Heather, my HP obsessed friend Brie, and any one else. I honestly don't see what the big frickin' deal is.

He does this to me: I recently discovered CSI. Hubby has watched the show since the beginning. I'll be watching a tivo'ed episode, and he'll walk in and be like, "Dude, can you believe the daughter killed the father?" and start laughing.

I'm the worst. wife. ever. I guess.

If the 2 of you play around like that then it's a totally different story. from your first post, it just sounded like you were jealous that your husband was paying more attn to the book than to you, and so you ruined it for him on purpose.

I am SO SICK of all this. Hubby bought it yesterday and has been USELESS b/c his nose is stuck in the book.

So I swiped it, read the last chapter, and told him what happened .

It's just Harry FUCKING Potter.

It's one thing if the spoiler was placed in the subject line like previously done to AI and Apprentice winners.

No need for getting any panties in wads and calling people insensitive and questioning Nikki and Mike's marriage.

OTW, what are you bringing to the rock party?

How does frozen pineapple chunks infused with tequila and salty plum powder sound for dessert? It's my FAV.

I think this is also a problem.

One of my oldest's buddies ruined the book for him yesterday and he was *livid*.

Oh, I'm scooting under the rock with all y'all with some nice micro-pop and a pack of diet coke. Anyone want some?

(Yes, I pre-ordered 2 copies of the book for my family. Yes, two family members have already finished their first readings of the book--and the 3rd is almost 1/2 way through. I appreciate the books but I don't care to read them myself. Give me a copy of 'A Wrinkle in Time' instead any day of the week!)
