Hi y'all! I'm on vacation here in Clearwater Beach, Florida, and as part of my "see every college campus I can" mission in life, I went to the University of South Florida in Tampa yesterday. I took a picture of the AOII house, with my 6 year old son standing in front of it. I'll post it when I get home. Ta Ta!!

Know what you mean about not being able to drive past though, it is just so sad... I so loved everything about that house, and have so many wonderful memories there. It always just felt like home to me. |
pardon me
Here's the Iota Sigma chapter at Iowa State:
http://kdotp.tripod.com/phc/aopi.jpg It's a newer house -- less than 40 years old -- and really nice inside. I think it holds 50? women. A good friend of mine was an AOII and loved living in it. |
Don't mean to crash your board, but here is a photo of the lovely house at Georgia Southern!

Indiana University
You can see a picture of the Beta Phi Chapter house here!
http://www.indiana.edu/~aoii It can hold up to 105 girls, has a large dining room, an informal and formal lounge, one lounge on the second and third floor, and two small libraries. We also have laundry capabilities, and a workout room. I LOVE it here! |
This week I'll scan the pictures of the Nu Beta Chapter House with the new paint and stuff. We've since gotten new landscaping so I'll have to take another picture of that!

Tau Gamma - housing
The Tau Gamma Chapter at Eastern Washington University finally has a house. After 16 years on campus we have an official place to call home. At the moment seven girls can live in but over the next few years the hope is to have a total of 16 girls living in the house (this is a number I have heard thrown around - not sure if it is correct). We are so excited we moved in just about a week ago, and with the help of some fraternity guys and the current members in the house we just put in the front lawn. It was so much fun - just another memory I will have that if not for AOII I would never have experienced.

That is great news about Tau Gamma!

Congratulations, AmeeLynn and Tau Gamma! Post pictures when you can!!

LOVE the red front door!
Congrats to Tau Gamma on their new home. That is such exciting news. |
Wow the shutters going from green to black made such a dramatic difference! Love the red door. Congratulations on your gorgeous house!

Glitter,
The house is just beautiful! Roses, Silver |
Thanks everyone. Nu Beta is blessed to have a wonderful and supportive Corporation Board. Those alumnae work so hard to get the chapter nice things. I think the house also looked better because they power washed it and replaced some of the trim wood with new wood. They also just got some new lanscaping with some deep red mums in the front and so that added some more color. We were just lacking color. The black shutters make a world of a difference! The red door color, I am proud to say, my mom and I picked out from about 10 colors that we had to pick from. It is a true cardinal red from Sherwin Williams. The other ones were either too orange or too pink. Corp Board also got a new door handle after I took those pictures. It is brushed iron (well at least that is what I think it is made of) instead of the old brass ones that were a pain to keep clean. They have some bids coming in on some new letters. Although I just found out that our letters are brass so they can probably be cleaned pretty easily.
