For those of you who might not have been watching last night, Carrie performed at this year's Grammy's with Rascal Flatts. She sounded and looked great!
In addition to a great performance, Carrie took home the following Grammy Awards: Best New Artist Best Country Female Vocal Performance ("Jesus Take the Wheel") |
Carrie is going to be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on March 24 (Peyton Manning will be guest host).

At the Academy of Country Music Awards last night, Carrie performed and won Album of the Year, Top Female Vocalist, and Video of the Year! Go, Carrie! :D

Convention
Hey,
Is anyone going to Convention this weekend or know any Sigma's that live in Nashville. I'm going but i'm looking for a place to stay because I don't have any money. It would be great if I didn't have to pay for a hotel. Let me know, thanks. Michelle |
For those wondering, I've heard from my chapter sisters that Carrie looked stunning when she spoke during Convention!
After she spoke, she signed autographs and posed for photos with over 700 sisters. She even stayed around the hotel until about 2:00 am to make sure no one was disappointed! |
Yes she did stay to around 2:00am. Myself along with 4 other girls were at the very end of the line. However, we did not get a picture with her because they stopped taking group pictures around 1:30am. Picture or no picture I was still excited that she came and spend all night with us.

I was going to ask the same thing! I was at Convention but had to leave at 3:00 pm Monday meaning I missed out on seeing Carrie - tear! I'd love to have a sort of "play-by-play" of what she said.
I did notice that if you go to the National Headquarters website there are photos from Convention and I believe #40-44 or so are of Carrie! It looks like she won an award too! Could this be in recognition of her as a Woman of Distinction?! By the way, Convention was amazing! I love LOVE love our sisterhood! xox |
Convention
The award was for "Women of Distiction".
She was at a table about 10 feet from me. I gave up waiting in line after the banquet a little after midnight. I had to finish packing and had to leave for the airport at 5am (to get back home to work a full day...bleh). She talked about how grateful the support she receives from Sigmas. She said she knew it had a huge impact on her winning American Idol. Mentioned how her big came to see her in LA during the competition. Says there are always Sigmas in the crowd at concerts wearing letters or with posters. Etc Etc... I talked with the advisor from her chapter some...She is pretty close with Carrie. |
