When I first heard about them dating, I thought it was helluva random match up. And the age difference isn't too bad, but I think the ick factor just comes in b/c everyone thinks of her as "Joey" and she has that young look about her, whereas Cruise is starting to show his years.

There is an even greater age difference between my fiance and me. :eek: And we're not icky either.

I see couples who have a significant age difference (10+ years) between them in NYC all the time. It's not a big deal so maybe New Yorkers are just used to it, don't care, or have better things to do with their time.

Now back to dishing Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes! :p

TOTAL CO-SIGN on this one!! He's normally a private person, so to engage in this much publicity seems a little suspect to me as well...

Ok so Katie's not a college freshman, but she plays one on TV - Her last movie (First Daughter) she played a college freshman.

Is Lindsay Lohan old enough to play a highschooler yet? I think you have to be at least 25 to qualify. I think Hilary got in just under the wire to play a Jr Higher on Lizzie McGuire (although her co-star who played Gordo made it comfortably at 18).

I'll be the third NYC GCer to say I'm dating someone 10+years older than me...and PROUD OF IT dammit.

This just isn't cute.

Even though I was somewhat of a fan of "Dawson's Creek" back when everybody watched it, I can't stand her. There's just something about Katie Holmes that's...not cute. Tom's good-looking, although I still can't understand why he'd want to give up somebody as beautiful as Nicole.

I don't get that either. She's just about the paradigm of being beautiful. There must have been something going on behind the scenes that we just don't know.

Lindsay still has a few reps in her. I would give her a workout. Cruise should pull and Aaron Carter and date both of them.

I say it's a publicity stunt too. It's suspicious that they're so quick to admit their relationship (they've only been dating a few weeks). Plus, I was watching E! news and they showed Tom and Katie kissing and it so awkward. It was almost as bad as Liza Minelli and David Guest kissing.

Well, I don't care for either one of them so it's fine with me.

And here I was thinking I had permanently erased that image frm my brain. Bleah!!!

Supposedly there were problems with his Scientology beliefs and her still being a practicing Catholic. I tell ya, that Scientology stuff just ain't right.
