Kellie you are so right http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif why do others want to see division amongst our two sororities, it makes no sense. i guess if they mind their own business it would be too much like right.

My fraternity hand sign is easy to explain.

We take our right hand and put it up to our forehead.

Then we make an "L" with our fingers.

After that, in a deep, manly voice, we say "Booga Booga Loo"

Actually, Chi Omega is the largest sorority with over 300,000 initiated members. Thank you.

Well it is the day after Christmas, people who aren't shopping are bound to be bored, or off founding a GLO.

It's one thing to resurrect a thread from 2000, but it's another thing to resurrect a thread from GreekChat's original troll.

But hey...if lamacmil wants to play a game of "Who's d**k is bigger?"...

Here are some statistics and information I researched.
These are directly from credible websites and sources.

"Every year, 5,000 young woman across America join the largest womans fraternity in the world for fun and lifelong friendships. Founded in 1895 at the University of Arkansas, Chi Omega is the largest women’s fraternal organization in the world with over 300,000 initiates and 171 collegiate chapters."

Number of alumnae chapters:240

Number of initiated members: Over 300,000

Number of living members: About 180,000

At any given time, Chi Omega has more than 16,000 undergraduate members

1 in 4 sorority women is a Chi Omega.

Chi Omega was the first greek organization to publish significant literature and to do broad research on women's achievements.

Chi Omega is the third most financially stable corporation in the United
States.

Chio is the 2nd largest female organization (2nd to Girl Scouts of America)

Chi Omega is the largest female fraternity. End of story.

A list of these credible sources and links to the websites please.

Odd... since according to ZTA's website, they alone have 191,000 members. I think your math's off.

I did a Google of "1 in 4 sorority women is a Chi Omega" and I stumbled on 3 XO chapter websites. A GC thread also came up: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...ad.php?t=80874

My guess is that Miss paige_elise89 probably got her data from various chapter websites. To this day, I still find on some Alpha Gam chapter websites that Betty White, Madonna, and Carly Simon are some of Accomplished Alpha Gams (untrue, DUH). It's like playing a game of telephone -- chapter webmasters see this info on other chapter sites and automatically assume that it's true. They pass on this information by posting it on their own websites and continue the untruths.

This isn't meant to belittle Chi Omega in any way. It's wonderful to be proud of your sorority's accomplishments, but there really isn't a need to take such a boastful and haughty tone when showing pride for your organization.
