Alright, my offer went through. I need some people to sign up, so here's my link:

If you got jobs, you could probably buy an ipod in less time. You also wouldn't have to sell out all your personal info to marketers.

If you make $10/hr and work another 20 hours a week, you'd have an ipod in no time. Either way you are "working" to get it. Nothing comes free. And given that there are a ton of companies that sold personal info or used it in ways they weren't supposed to - large corporations in fact with much better reputations than this one - I wouldn't trust that. Also there are a lot of companies doing this and some are outright scams so people should look into each one. Here is a sample article I found: http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...GURBP6N353.DTL -Rudey |

I dont know where you live, but i'm a college student, and there is not way that I can work at a job that is $10/hr and work an extra 20 hours. So chill out....if you think this is a scam, then don't do it. |

Again, it's not free since you are working at selling goods/services to other people. Again, many of these companies are outright and total scams. Again, many more reputable corporations and companies with strong brand names that everyone has heard of have sold private info that they were not allowed to sell and there is no reason why some rinky dink company that makes quite a bit of its money on rough web marketing wouldn't sell your info. -Rudey |
I know 3 people who did these offers and got free ipods...it only took them about 2-3 hours to do...hmmmmm, if you can find a part time job for 3 hours that pays $100/hr, more power to you. But i'd rather just sign up for something that costs a dollar and get the free ipod...thanks for warning, but you don't know what you're talking about and missing out on a great opportunity

Look, I don't want this thread to get closed.
Rudey does have a valid point -- there are companies out there that just want to rip you off and make a buck by selling your personal info. In fact, that article he posted does mention the Gratis website. I personally don't care b/c 1-I signed up for the Blockbuster promotion and bought an ink cartidge, which are things I was going to do anyways, so it's not like I'm spending extra $$$, 2-the email address I gave is my "junk" email address as that's the one I use when I do all my shopping online, so I get tons of SPAM there already, and 3-I opted out of the offers, so even if I do get a phone call from someone who purchased my personal info, I'm on the Do-Not call list and I'll report them. :D I don't want an iPod that bad that I'm going to go out and buy one, but if I can get one for (mostly) free, then I'll refer five friends and see if I can earn one. If I can't, no harm done. ETA: Lol - I'm the moron that's the reason why W&SB had to bold the first link under each group. :) |
