Frankly, what I think happened was that there was most probably an argument, and he may have shoved her or whatever. Instead of calling 911, he disposed of her. In my eyes, the crime was more for not seeking help for Laci & Connor, and trying to cover up the situation. Had he called 911, none of this would have happened in quite the spectacular fashion.

My thoughts exactly!

I have no joy in Scott being given the death penalty, even though it was inevitable. I did immediately pray for him - which doesn't mean that I like him, or any other liar.

Alright, if the strangler doesn't suit you well, how about Bruno Hauptmann? The point is that everyone was so sure he was the killer, and yet the evidence didn't fit except for how the police and prosecution interpreted it.

It shouldn't matter what we "think" happened or that he "may have" killed her, what's important is that he did do it and it's not because of his reaction (or lack of) to her death and his extra-martial affair that proves his guilt.

If he's guilty, then justice is served, but if this was a miscarriage of justice, then there will be no closure for the family. The media is reason why this trial became such a spectacular sensation. This was the new ticket for ratings, and it sounds like the jury is ready to cash in too.

I think the whole thing is tragic. I hate the death penalty. I hate what he did, or supposedly did, too. I think the media needs to get out of the courtroom. These jurors start thinking they are on a TV show. What is with these people cheering in the streets? Who cheers when someone gets the death penalty? What is that all about? I am sorry, but if the family feels "closer" only after someone else has to die, that is sick.

I think we need to resort to work camps. Work the SOB for the rest of his life, HARD. Make this guy do something worthwhile.

Prison: Two women want to marry Peterson

He gets several calls of support on his first day on death row

CNN) -- On Scott Peterson's first day on death row, two women called California's San Quentin State Prison to say they were interested in marrying him, according to prison officials.

Prison spokesman Vernell Crittendon said about three dozen women called San Quentin with messages of support for the prison's newest bachelor, convicted and sentenced to die for the murder of his pregnant wife, Laci.

"Two of them actually indicated to our staff that their purpose for calling was marriage," Crittendon told CNN.

He added that it is not unusual for inmates to get married while on death row.
