I remember your songs! I think some of them were on the soundtrack of the Wedding Singer w/Adam Sandler and Charlie's Angels sdtk also! Video Killed THe Radio Star was the Buggles or something...they were the first video that MTV ever played. And for whoever mentioned Extreme's "More Than Words" I LOVED that song. THe guy in the video playing the guitar was the first white guy I ever had a crush on, lol. THey had another great song called "Hole Hearted" too. |

Doggystyle,
I loved Extreme's More than Words. Sometimes I still pop it in when I'm down on my love life (which is all the time). Sunshine |

I guess I must have been 'out of the loop' because I grew up in Philly but don't remember any of those songs. Oh well.

Lord when I saw this post I was like they are calling my name. What about Falco's "Rock me Amadeus" Whitesnake, " Our House" by Madness and "Fascination" & "Human" by the Human League. On Saturdays as I clean up, I put on all my 80s cds and crank it up.

I was totally into white pop music. I liked 1) Expose's "Seasons Change"
2) Miami Sound Machine & Gloria Estefan "Anything for You" 3) Can't We Try 4) Jefferson Starship "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us" 5) Michael McDonald "Sweet Freedom" And So Many More!!! |
Okay. I have a lot of songs but I'm only going to mention one. I bought an 80's CD just to have this one song (although it has a few more I know) and I listened to it over and over again on the way to work. And I'm telling you, a lot of you may not recognize the group or title but you'd recognize the song if you heard it.
Level 42- "Something About You" Go to this site and scroll down and select song #3 for a sample. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/cl...623473-7383959 ------------------ #10 Sigma (Clark Atlanta University) Spring 1999 Currently: MAL, Southern Region [This message has been edited by DST Love (edited June 22, 2001).] |
That song was the jam, too! My mother LOVEDED that song, "Something about you" along with "Holding Back the Years" Simply Redd. I think they were out around the same time.
Ya'll remember Rick Astley? "Never gonna give you up...never gonna say good-bye, never gonna turn around and....desert you..." |
