Suggestions please!!
Help!!
Okay..here goes. I need some advice, quickly! I have a meeting Tuesday afternoon. It's with a bigwig of one of the groups. Suggestions on what to wear? I will be meeting her directly after school, so will not have time to go home, blah blah blah. These are the outfits I'm considering to wear: a) a black and white pantsuit with coordinating top or turtleneck and black shoes b) a dressy black knit top with a new gray/black skirt and black heels For jewelry, I'm planning on wearing my black pearl earrings and black pearl necklace. I am excited, yet slightly apprehensive as well. Holy cow. |
I think either of those outfits sound pretty good...I guess it just depends on how cold it is where you are! (If it's like it is here, I'd definitely be wearing the pants. :p)

I vote for choice B. :)
Good luck! |
I pick B and hope you have some time to freshen up between school and meeting her! Good luck and let us know how it goes

Either one sounds great....just pick the once you will be most comfortable in all day and while you are meeting....if you are uncomfortable in your outfit, it might show in the meeting. You don't want to give the wrong impression. You'll be great!!
Let us know what happens. |
Wash Behind your ears, dress as a professional and you will be fine!
Brush Teeth and get the spinach out first!:D Waiting to Hear about Your exploit! Good Luck, be calm and not to cool!:) |
I hope the meeting went well! What did you decide to wear? :)

Update...
" The PNAM wore a grey and black worsted flared skirt with a black knit top with black trim on the 3/4 length sleeves, and simple black Etienne Aigner heels. Accessorizing the outfit were black pearl and diamond earrings and a strand of black pearls and a small gold pin with the letters Pi Sigma Alpha ( representing Mortar Board, which the alumnae was also a member of.)." Before the meeting, this member and I had been in contact over the phone a few times and by email a good bit. She was going to be in Birmingham, so we made made arrangments to meet on Tuesday afternoon, and we had such a wonderful time talking. We talked for two hours before we both had to leave for other obligations ( me, picking up my Melody, and she was having dinner with good friends). It was so FABULOUS!! As we talked, it turned out that we knew a lot of people in common and started talking about who went where and how such and such was doing. We also found out that she had been a sister at her chapter at the same time as some other women I had known years ago from another time in my life ( these women were the ex-boyfriend's aunts!!). We also discovered that we knew several people in common through church connections as well. This member had also been a member of Mortar Board at her school and she will now have the opportunity to help me out with some chapters where she is located. We also talked at length about being involved in her organization at different levels as well. She was able to answer many of my questions and it was really a good meeting. It was so much fun, and so nice to talk with her. I can tell you a truth about the AI process...as long and drawn out as it may be, it's definitely a good way to make new friends. |
Congratulations to you on a successful meeting!

Congrats !!! I'm glad it was a positive and informative meeting for you.:)

Hey trojangal --
I know you've got a lot of stuff going on right now. Please wander over here and give us an update when you get the chance! :) Hope everything is looking up! |
I have been so excited to see so many of our friends here get their AI dates and am so happy for all of them. Slightly green with envy over here :)
I'm in a holding pattern right now---just waiting for a response on some things. All I'm going to say for now... :) Cheryl |
