My BF and I have an 18 year age difference. We've been together for over 9 months and things have been great. We're in it for the long run with hopefully having a family and getting a house. The age difference doesn't bother us, we forget most of the time until we actually think of it and of course he's happy cause he scored a younger chick. lol. We make fun of eachother's age sometimes just because it's funny. I joke about senior citizen stuff. hehe. Even though I'm in my 20's, I think I'm mature. He doesn't look his age either. He looks like he's 30. I've been in enough relationships to know that this one is right. And if you have a good man (or woman) you shouldn't let them go. I definitely lucked out :)

Indeed. ;)

I dated a 26-year-old briefly when I was 17. Age is just a number...the compatibility between the two people is what really matters.

(My parents, however, failed to agree with me on that issue.)

Exactly. I dated a 26-y/o when I was 18 and...Well, dad never found out (I was living in another state), but my mom wanted to rip his heart out. Eh. Now that I'm a smidge older, I still love older guys. My two current interests are 30 and 31.

So I want to be a 50 year old man with a hot young thing, but I don't pretend it's something it isn't and say age is a number.

Already did. I was 22 and he was 35. He was also my semi-boss. He didn't look (or act) older than 25, though.

When I was 22, I dated a guy that was 37. Bad choice.
When I was 29, I dated a guy that was 45. Good choice.
When I was 37, I dated a guy that was 35. Worst decision of my life.
When I was 41, I dated a guy that was 28. Bizarre choice.

I doesn't come down to the age. It comes down the the person.

I'm old as hell, and my last date was young as hell. I like robbing the cradle.:o:D

Seriously, I tend to date younger women. Like 10 to 12 years younger than me. A lot of people think I look a lot younger than I actually am, so it just ends up that way. I like it.:D

Buttonz 12-22-2007 01:28 AM

it depends on the people. Me personally, I'm 23 and anything over 31 would be pushing it right now, but it would depend on the guy.

Meanwhile my sister is 21 and married a a 32 year old. (but that's a whole different story of course).

And the flip side of the coin:
I've just started to date younger guys, as in up to 10 years. I got tired of hearing about the wicked ex wives and being with someone who didn't want to get off their butt and go somewhere. I'm put at anywhere from 5 to 10 years younger that I am, good family genes and healthy lifestlye now following, and see no need in a the just start dating stage to correct anyone.

Someone with a sense of humor and not ready to roll over and play dead: really important.

I like younger men. Always have, always will. I am very youthful and look very young for my age. As long as they are legal, that's fine with me.

Older than me is another story. I do not feel comfortable with anything beyond 5 years older than myself. It may work for some other people, but honestly it is not for me.

ZTAMich 12-22-2007 10:12 PM

My husband and I are 14 years apart. We were introduced by a mutual friend who's age is somewhere in the middle there. Anyway, our ages didn't exactly come up when we first met, or for a while after that. When we finally did the math, we realized if the age difference was a problem it would have come up already on it's own. There really have been no issues with it since.

Ashton Kutcher & Demi Moore seem really happy together
So do Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise
A big age difference doesn't really matter when you're in love

As for me, though, I would never date anyone 10 years younger or older
Because 9 is just a tad bit too young, don't you think? :D :D :D
And 29 seems really old to me. Because that's almost 30. And to me, 30 is old. lol
But that's just me :)
