You know just because we don't say anything in our HOORAY IT'S A LONG WEEKEND posts about Florida doesn't mean we're not thankful. I had family members who evacuated and are now up here for the long weekend and I know you're scared, but evacuate if it's so scary. Go somewhere fun for a weekend, just get in your car and drive. If you don't have a car take a bus, but get away because just worrying is going to make you crazy. I have family down in Ft. Myers who lost everything and family on Pine Island who lost everything, but they are happy that they have each other and that they got out in time with their pets and their memories.

I went to VA Beach for vacation during Hurricane Charley to visit my brother, my vacation was all rainy and indoors, but you didn't hear me boo-hooing. I was just glad I got to go and see him before he left for six months. If you really want to discuss this it doesn't belong in long weekend plans...it belongs in the thread on the hurricane.

Trinity is a great church...I've been attending there for over two years. I'm actually also getting married there.

 i was just saying this is how we are spending our long weekend. goodness knows i am thankful for being spared the worst and being safe. i was just hoping that other people are thankful too. it has to do with how a lot of people are spending their weekend so that is why i posted it here.
