9/18 houses at UGA DIDN'T make quota.

AOIIalum 08-18-2004 11:34 PM

Hold on, didn't a similar scenario play out at Georgia the past two years? I was so hoping that they finally got the kinks worked out this year.

I believe UGA's Bid day is Thursday, Aug. 19, so it's very possible that in some sense recruitment is "over." I wonder if snap bidding or other permitted measures will increase the number of chapters at quota and also allow more PNMs to find a Greek home?

UGAnchora 08-19-2004 06:27 AM

We were told how many we got late wednesday night and as of 6:15 AM This(thursday) morning I know everyone in my house was up and ready to begin snap bidding at 6:30 AM.

This system that some of the bigger schools are using is making me crazy. Where are the benefits? All I see are more chapters that don't make quota and far more heartbroken PNMs.

steelercutie 08-19-2004 08:35 AM

anyone know if AGD made quota at UGA?

or who did?

UGAnchora 08-19-2004 10:04 AM

I PMed you

UGA: 1200+ PNMs for NPC recruitment

No "results," but a feature story from the UGA student paper. It does say there are 1,223 PNMs this year.

University of Georgia Results

I just received word from the Gamma Phi Beta advisor at UGA that we were one of six sororities to meet quota which was 61!

I don't have any other information on who did or didn't meet quota , though.:D

I helped the ADPi's last night at Tennessee and they are doing great!! My cousin is going through, and she seems happy with several of the chapters, and it sounds like numbers are strong. A little less than 900 went through and quota is expected to be between 45-50. Hopefully I'll hear more Sunday (bid day)....

Does anyone else have info on the UGA situation now that bid day is over? I'm curious to find out how ADPi did.

Yeah, I'm trying to find out how Sigma Kappa at UGA did too. I heard they didn't make quota, which is surprising because I think they've been one of our stronger chapters in recent yesars.
