Just out of curiosity, how do y'all find this information, if it's not in your sorority magazine? It's so rarely listed in their bios.

And I am assuming that we'll be doing the "grand viewing" on September 18th, correct?

honeychile, I would have never known about Miss California if someone had not said something... When it was mentioned she might be a Pi Phi, I looked through our alumnae directory.

I thought I was losing my mind! I checked out numerous Miss Some-State sites, and only found one or two that mention any sororities? Noooooo!

i'm glad someone looked into the affiliation of Miss California. i thought about it later and thought she many not have been an AKA since no one on a sorority listserv i'm on mentioned her being a member. with Miss Georgia, lots of folks talked about her so i knew she was my soror the day after she won.

You're right, Veena was actually a Pi Beta Phi at UCLA, not an AKA. Veena's heritage is half Indian half Indonesian.
