Congrats on the 16.5 pounds MSKKG! I'm really impressed. That's hard to do!
Fleur-de-lis: We had a FANTASTIC Semiformal on Friday! It was amazing! All thanks to the wonderful LuvUTruly! Fleur-de-lis: I'm going to Charleson, SC for my 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend in December (he's a Pi Kappa Phi)! Broken Key: Lots of work to do before Thanksgiving Break, but that's to be expected! |

Have a wonderful time in Charleston! ;) Maybe now would be an appropriate time to practice that song that you have wanted to the chapter to learn?! :D |
Thanks so much for the encouraging words, KappaLadyK! This was probably the worst time of the year to start a diet though, with H'ween, T'giving, and Christmas all in a row!
|
Oh Stephie Boo you silly goose.
We should probably start practicing, but not necessarily for December. I have a feeling I will have to wait a little while longer ;) Our anniversary will just be a romantic weekend away to celebrate. Plus, Charleston is quite special to us! Hehehe! L&L, *KTK* |
broken key: It's icky and raining out and I have to make a four-hour drive this afternoon.
fleur-de-lis: That four-hour drive is to see one of my best friends from my pledge class and hang out with her this weekend!! :D |
Lots of Fleur-de-lis: I've lost 20 lbs.! I get to celebrate T'giving with my EKs tonight--hope that won't negate my 20 lbs.! Yesterday, my older son earned his 1st athletic letter for swimming.
Broken Key: I'm not feeling the best right now, but I'm sure I'll be better soon. |
Keep up the great work, MSKKG!
Fleur-de-Lis- It's Thanksgiving break! Broken Keys- I have a lot of work to get done and break will soon be over! But... another Fleur-de-Lis - When I go back to school next week, Elise the LC is coming to visit again! She's fabulous!:D |
Fleur-de-lis: On Thursday, PKTKKG and I toured the Greek Village at USC and had a wonderful time. They had a Christmas Open House, so all the houses were decorated and looked beautiful. Everyone had refreshments (it was really hard to resist all the delicious-looking sweets. but I did!). One of the best comments I heard about the KKG house was that it was like a home.
Broken Key: Three of the houses didn't participate. The Sigma Chis had an initiation event, and the KDs and ZTAs had other things planned. I hope I'll get to visit those 3 at another time. |
Fleur-de-lis: We had a very enjoyable Alumnae event this morning touring a historic mansion in our city that was all decked out for Christmas.
Broken Key: I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night! ---- MSKKG That's fantastic about your weight loss! I know it's hard, but keep it up! :D (Not too easy around the holidays, though.) |
Broken Key: I'm going through a very scary and sad change in my life.
Fleur-de-Lis: the loyalty and sisterhood my chapter and international sisters have shown me. I feel like I have fallen, and their hands are helping me stand back up. |
Fleur-de-lis: My application for the language summer program I'm applying to has finally gotten all the pieces together and is all ready to be mailed out!
Broken Key: I don't have postage and it's 2am so I have to wait until tomorrow to go and get postage on the big packed envelope... |
Because it's Friday, I have two fleur-de-lis and no broken keys!
Fleur-de-lis: I am finished with my advising duties for the semester! (love the chapter, but it's soooo nice to get a break!) Fleur-de-lis: To show me their appreciation, the girls in the chapter sent me a beautiful flower arrangement yesterday! I was so touched! |
Fleur-de-lis: I'm engaged!
Fleur-de-lis: My sister is engaged! Fleur-de-lis: It's winter break! Broken Key: I have a wicked cold to deal with. but all in all things are good  |
congradulations kappaladyk! and your sister too! *snaps*
fleur-de-lis: threw an amazing dinner party for some friends last night...tried a couple new dishes and they turned out so well! boken key: i have a knee injury and it might cut down on my running.... |
fleur-de-lis: That application I mentioned in my last post--- I received the reply back from them, and I'm accepted! Which means this summer from June 10th-August 12th, I will be attending the Japanese Language School at Middlebury College in Vermont.
broken key: I'll only be allowed to speak, read, write, listen to, etc ONLY Japanese and no other language, it will be really hard going 9 weeks with no contact w/ my non-japanese speaking friends.... and fiance! though we're probably going to have my room mate translate letters I write to him so we can still stay in touch :) |
