|
Rose: I'm sitting in the Paris Hilton hotel and my room overlooks the Eiffer Tower.
Thorns: it is zero degrees, snowing and the wind chill is in the negatives. Brrr. Il fait froid! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10...e/DSC03038.jpg And look at this little car: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10...e/DSC03104.jpg Called "Smart" it is for in city use only. But it is darling! |
Wow DGMarie, it may be freezing and snowing, but at least you're in PARIS!! WOW!!
Congrats to you AUDG! You'll be in the land of all my relatives. Get some warm clothes - it snows up there in the mountains! |
Rose: I have decided to attend ...for grad school! I'll be getting my Masters in School Counseling!
|
Rose: I just got offered two jobs in one day!!! A 3rd grade position and a 5th grade position. :-)
I finished student teaching in December of 04 and taught two back to back interim jobs (5th and 2nd grades), so this will be my first OFFICIAL year of teaching...I'm thrilled!! I don't know which one to pick...I'm leaning towards the 5th grade because it's on the team I student taught with (and I **LOVE** them); but 3rd would be fun to (just in different ways). |
Yay CJ!:D
|
I formally accepted the 5th grade job today! Yay!!!
|
Congrats!!!!
Now if only I could find one here! It's looking as if I'll be subbing again next year.....:( |
Girl, you have got to move down here...there are SOOOO many jobs open!!!!
|
Marie! I can't believe you were on this side of the atlantic and we didn't get together! I'm sorry I missed you. Anyway, we had a Germany DG get together in Frankfurt and it was awesome! Just thought I would share!
|
Next trip! But only if the temperature is above 0!
Actually, I was supposed to go to Hamburg for the second week of June for another project but plans changed. |
We found out two days ago that my boss is leaving. He and I were REALLY close, and with my parents leaving this year that means I have noone to count on up here. Luckily, I know two of the candidates for his job and one of them I could easily become just as close to.

oh la la, close w/ the boss ;)

It's been a rough week for me, so I wanted to post...
There are no buds this week, however the biggest rose and thorn was the same event. On Wednesday, I got a call from my dad saying that they had decided to put my male dog down (he's 11 years old and has heartworms). He said that if he put him down, he was going to put his sister up for adoption, and if she didn't get adopted he's sure the pound would put him down as well (it's a long story why). However, he made an offer to pay for $87.50 of my parent loan, so that it goes from $387.50 to $300.00 a month if I take on this dog. I already have a puppy, so he felt that it would be good for the older dog to have a playmate. So, I now have a big border collie/lab mix residing with a jack russell/chihuahua mix (and yes, it is a funny sight). So my rose is that I got a new dog, and my thorn is pretty much everything else that went along with it. |
