Now that I have had some time to mull it over, I think that I prefer Teresa Heinz Kerry.

I could care less that she told a reporter to shove it... I do not know this reporter, but I can think of a few that deserve it. I do not condone our Vice President using the F word on the Senate floor... though I can think of a few Senators that deserve that too.

What does bother me is that she LIED about it initially.

I would pick Laura Bush. She is a true lady (that is only my opinion).

What I find so funny is the same people that are making a big deal about the"shove it" comment are the same people that said Cheney's "go fuck yourself" comment wasn't a big deal.

Yes I said Cheney's comment was not a big deal nor do I think Heinz Kerry's comment was either.
You did read below the article where I commented right?

Now if I had said Cheney's comment was a big deal you would have got me there.:p

It's not an awful thing, but it's an embarassment. I said that.

Most importantly, it's within the context of everything else she says that makes it important. Cheney isn't an embarassment to the Republican party for constantly saying things that are looney or cursing like that.

On the other hand, Ms. Kerry isn't the Vice President of the United States.

She's a candidate's wife. Laura Bush is the President's wife. While it is absolutely pointless to talk about her accident years ago, it is equally pointless (this is my opinion only) to care what a candidates wife says to an annoying reporter.

Sure. Please do let the Democrats who've been trying to get her to shutup as well as the party spinmasters who've been trying to make it seem as if she speaks to the common man because of it know that.

Ditto.

None of these things are that important, y'all.

If I was going to make my decision based on candidate's wives, though, I'd still go with the Kerrys. It would make for a more interesting four years. I'm getting a little tired of the whole traditional first lady thing . . .

I like Laura quite a bit more than I like her husband though. But I like the twins best. And if Bush getting elected means that we get four more years of E! showing the twins flirting with Fabian Basabe, I'm all over that . . . because he is hot.

For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to "know" Teresa Heinz Kerry, as the wife of your state's politician or otherwise, this picture speaks a thousand words:

And if you think that she won't look down on YOU, well, you'll learn soon enough.

You're sooo ladylike, HC. I can't imagine why Teresa would possibly look down on someone as wonderful and tactful and womanly as you.

What words, exactly, are this picture speaking? Are we now going to determine a woman's character from a camera angle?

They are speaking "I am not in the Daughters of the American Revolution and I do not care."

co-sign!!!

...please she's the candidate for the first lady, NOT THE PRESIDENT, and it's a picture that caught her looking down, unless you've never been caught off guard in a picture and always look perfect in them you really can't say much.

She came and spoke on my campus, and many students had the opportunity to meet her. I found her to be very gracious and interested in what I had to say. She took the time to answer questions and pose for photos. I did not get a nasty vibe from her at all.

I haven't had the pleasure to hear the first lady speak in person, or meet her, but I am sure she'd be just as lovely and forthcoming as Teresa Heinz, with security measures in place obviously.

People have their favorites for whatever reasons, but we're voting for their husbands. Even though I have only met one, I look upon them equally, as women in their own right, and not an appendage of their husbands.

Did you not like her when she was married to a republican too?
