Gearing up for rush!
 

Thanks everyone for all of your responses! I have been away on vacation with my family on our end of the summer trip and had a great time. I also got a lot of shopping in for rush clothes. Our first informational meeting is a week from today with parties starting the next day. I cant wait. I already have butterflies. I'll keep the updates coming and thanks again to everyone for all of your support!:D

Yay it's coming up pretty soon!! I have to go back to school next week for work week, hopefully I can find an internet connection somewhere to read all these rush threads!! :) Just have tons of fun and keep us updated!

Hey everyone! Rush parties start in a week and I'm beginning to become pretty nervous. Today was a good day though, after spending some time recently with family and close friends of the family, I have discovered quite a few people who would be willing to write me recommendations. (2 family members, one family friend and thanks to the 2 or 3 of you from GC who have been so kind to help me too!) All of that for someone who thought they didnt know any greeks!

So, I've been away on vacation and am getting ready to head back up for the start of fall semester, but I cant seem to focus on classes with all of this sorority recruitment preparation. But anyhow, I have decided to nickname all the houses after cities since I love to travel and I can undoubtedly come up with 16 cities.

So from here, I just have one question, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should wear to the informational meeting the day before the parties start? And also, if anyone is familiar with UF's bid day, what on earth are we supposed to wear? I have gathered so far that we will be given a shirt from our sorority, but should we just show up in a khaki skirt or shorts? Any input would be awesome and thanks to all of you for your support to me and the other PNMs here on GC! :D

I'm not too familiar with UF's Recruitment, but I would guess that either of which you are more comfortable in will be fine.

i'll bet that your recruitment counselor will go over what to wear on bid day. you can ask them if they don't tell you themselves. good luck with your recruitment!!

Wow all the chapters have such awesome websites and they obviously are all very strong in their own way... UF Greeks seem very involved and have alot of spirit. I was thinking of going to Florida for school, but i would have been all alone.

Sunshinesmiles, may you find your home and i know wherever that is, you will be happy and never look back.Honestly i don't see how you can go wrong with the chapters you have to choose from. Good Luck!!:D

defintitely agree. do not listen to what anyone says. each chapter is so awesome. you cannot go wrong!!! have fun tomorrow!!

Hey everyone!

To those of you keeping up with these rush threads, I just wanted to keep you all updated. I just got home from our Recruitment informational meeting. It was really helpful and I met my Pi Chi's who are just awesome! I also met quite a few girls from my rush group and they all seem so excited. Im finally over the nervousness and now I just want to get the Rush Parties started. We meet tomorrow at 815 (so early!!) and have parties all day until 700pm with a short break in the middle of the day. It should be exciting. From what I heard, there are either 1200 or 1500 girls going through recruitment at UF this year so there are a lot of us. Thanks everyone for your support and wish me luck!!:D
