What about St Patricks day. It looked fun in the scene from The Fugitive.

I've never been to any St. Paddy day celebrations. I'm Scottish.:D

About R'nR MickeyD's. I can't remember where I heard it. Is it closed?lol

Millenium Park is worth seeing. There are lots of tourists there though but you get a feel for the architecture and planning and that's cool.

Sandy and I visited Millennium Park while we were in Chicago and we both liked it. It made for a really nice afternoon. (Note: The water in the fountains are cold!) :)

I've never stayed in Chicago before, but I fell in love with the city during Convention. I'll be going back again soon!

Glad to hear. Whenever I passed by it looked like a hot mess of metal.

My sister lives in Chicago. I have to go back one day, it's been a while since my last visit. I love it there...nice cool weather.

the Skyline
Sears Tower
State Street shopping! (4 story Old Navy, need I say anymore?)
Buckingham Fountain
Museum campus
crazy Polish Chicago Fire fans
Venetian Night
Fireworks
Navy Pier
Post-Prom cruises on Lake Michigan
babysitting in 5-star hotels

I may be a Floridian, but my heart is in Chicago.

I just had a flashback, lol. Aww the memories of 1999.:D

I like Navy Pier a lot, and the Shedd aquarium / other things around that area...

but as for an actual city, city, I love my NYC better... I grew up on Long Island, so to me a true "city" is one that's really busy and packed with people, with tons upon tons of skyscrapers... going to Chicago doesn't give me that same feeling I get when I'm in NYC.

The R and R McDonalds is most definitely boarded up and closed. :( I don't know when they're reopening...the board says come visit us in 200 so IDK?? but it made me really sad the other night at 3 AM when all my friends were hungry :(

Who knew the inside of the egg would resemble a vagina? Millenium Park is indeed beautiful. I'd love to see it in the winter when the skating rink opens up.

I, like Maria, fell in love with the city. :D I love Chicago because of the food (namely Tavern on Rush and their Filet), the Hunt Club (and all those crazy places on the Gold Coast), Tony, Alan, and Chad at Howl at the Moon (Ceciiiilia, you're breaking my heart), shopping, and even those nice City of Chicago workers who get weak because of a wink and a smile.

Maria and Marissa, we are going back this October.

I'm never going to live that comment down, am I? :o

Let's pick those dates in October, Sandy. I am so there! :)

I guess I'm one of those people who likes the idea of Chicago but I can't see myself living there for the rest of my life.

Ok you're making me blush, bia. Cut it out.

greeklawgirl 08-03-2004 04:06 PM

Jules, you crack me up! :D

Of course we love Chicago because of you, too!
