Oh- and right now I'm on the shortlist to transfer from the deli to Starbucks |

High School: Contruction worker (remodeling/wallpapering/etc.) Supermarket pricing Amusement park ride operator Sports/political reporter for local paper College: School librarian Preschool teacher School paper reporter Part-time babysitting business (had to pay for school largely on my own) Post-collegiate: Current healthcare position |
From age 10: worked on family dairy farm
High school: Sales associate at JC Penneys Sales associate at the Bon Ton College: Student Assistant in Communication Department Part time DJ at local radio station Summer camp counselor Front Desk at Cedar Point hotel one day at school snack bar Post graduation: substitute teacher studio crew at FOX affiliate part time DJ at another radio station fulltime job in communications/member relations for dairy cooperative |
My jobs:
Retail at Gap Admissions at Cedar Point Telemarketing (I was 16 and didn't even know what a credit report was so I wasn't so good at that) Customer service for Bank of America Dry Cleaners Admissions and Records at WVU WVU Scholars office I also worked in my dad's office sometimes. And I gave riding lessons sometimes. |
-Babysat multiple times a week from the age of 13 until college...
-Nasa intern two summers (and got high school credit instead of being paid for the school year inbetween) -Research assistant with SETI for a summer -Student contractor for US Geological Survey for about 6 months -Hot Topic for 6 months -Holleywood Video for 5 months And now after college I have been working for 4 months at Chabot Space and Science Center... and hope that to continue on... which means if you count babysitting as 1 job I have had 7 or 8 jobs (depending if you count the NASA internships seperatly) |
Part Time
High School: **Taught children's ski school for 1 season **Pizza Kitchen: answered phones, made pizzas etc **I also babysitted occassionally College: **Francis Animal Hospital: I worked here all through college. I did just about everything there. Receptionist, assisted with surgeries, gave vaccines/ injections etc. I loved this job and still miss it, even though the money wasn't very good. After college: **Substitute teacher for 3 school districts **Standardized Test scorer (I read and graded essays for the California High School Exit Exam and the New Jersey ASK exam for 3rd and 4th graders). Full Time High School World History Teacher and JV volleyball coach: I;ve been here for 1 1/2 years and love it so far. |

Manager) America online ( Billing floor supervisor) Office Manager/ Admin Asst Paralegal |

It's funny that AXiD mentioned retiring... I went into a 401K meeting the other day and they were teasing me for being there, because noone had told me it was for people within 10 years of retirement. I told them that with any luck I was. (I'm 22, FYI)
I've only held 2 jobs, both at country clubs, since I was 16. The one that I'm at now I've been at for 5 years. |
