At certain times of the day it works fine, then the next time you go to it, it may say document not found. Maybe during those down times, the webmaster is working on the site. The index2.html attachment could be the test page.

Has anybody tried viewing the Macromedia flash presentation of the founders? I can't get it to work.

Soror, I saw it for the first time yesterday and it really is quite different. I think they are still working on it so it sends you back to the old site. It is really nice though.

I had a question about a section of the new site, so I e-mailed headquarters.
The response was that the new site was to be launched Nov. 30.

I am giddy with delight!!! Yes folks it takes very little to make a sista' happy. The website is BEEEEEEUUUUUUTTTTIIFUL!!
It is so informative and it just shows off the wonderful things that this organization has done and continues to do!!!! My favorite part is looking at the pictures of the past presidents and now I am trying to get this Macromedia to work so I can read about the founders some more.

I tell you technology is a wonderful tool. As a prospective I am truly lucky!!!! Ok enough giddiness for now :-D:cool: ;) .

Ladies I was finally able to view your new National site, and it's bangin. I really like that chapter locator, that would be nice for all national pages to have something like that.

Whomever put this together did a hellva job.:D

The new Alpha Kappa Alpha website is wonderfully designed! It was absolutely breathtaking. I truly must salute the design team because I know that a lot of worthwhile work went into it.

I'm just now making it all the way through and reading everything. This site is SO much nicer than the last one!!!! I loved it!!! It has SO much more INFORMATION than the last page did! I just love it! :D

Sorors, I am both honored and proud to be able to enter the members only section.
As Soror Ideal08 mentioned there is soo much info on there and forms.....No more handwriting. I just love TECHNOLOGY! But I love my A-K-A even more!

As a sisterfriend, I love the new site. It has made my interest even stronger because it proves that Alpha Kappa Alpha is continuously evolving and "blazing new trails". If I could get to it, my favorite part of the site would probably be the section about the Founders ( I love reading about their backgrounds and history) , but for some reason I cannot download the player and have yet to see it. So since I cannot check that section out, my favorite section is the News and Events. It is so detailed and offers so much information. I was so excited to see links to the regional websites. That will help a lot of sisterfriends. In addition, the new and improved chapter locator is a great resource. Overall, I would say the new site is extremely impressive!

The new website is Supremely Divine. :) I absolutely LOVE it!!! It is soooooo beautiful and the information is great. Kudos to the design team- your hard work is definitely noted and appreciated.
The only thing that saddens me is that I can't enter the Members Only area YET. The data base only reflects members as of Oct. 2, 2001. (I became a Woman of Distinction on Oct. 28) But I'm patiently waiting, before it was only current up to Aug. 31 ( I think). Soon Sorors soon, I'll be able to enter the gates !!!!!!! :)

I really like the new site...Kudos to the webteam...Once again the lovely ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. have impressed me...The new site has so much information...

I will have to agree, my favorite part of the site is the News & Events b/c it allows outsiders like myself to keep up with the ongoings of your prestigious sisterhood...I also really enjoyed reading the "Making a Difference" Lists and "Success Stories"...This truly keeps serious sisterfriends like myself motivated on their quest for membership into your illustrious sorority...
