I've got 5 weddings so far this summer. No idea what to wear.
I'm singing in one of them, but I don't have to wear anything specific.....any ideas? Some are night weddings, others are afternoons..... |

Wear whatever looks flattering and feels comfortable - because ya never know who you might meet!;) |

Ann Taylor Loft has a ton of great dresses and skirts on sale, I've been going crazy in there. :)
Also, for the GC ladies who are plus-sized, I just bought my mom a really cute skirt at an Elizabeth (Liz Claiborne) store in Minnesota - the stuff in their stores is SO much cuter than the stuff in department stores! |

Here's my dilemma: The wedding I'm going to is going to be at the country club, no church/temple first, and even though I've asked a gazillion times, I've gotten NO hint as to whether it's formal/informal, or whatever. I will know the bride & her father (and mr. honeychile, who will know only me), but I know I'm being counted upon to make a decent appearance. My hints that it's somewhat formal are: the choice of menu (filet mignon & lobster OR "chicken frambroise"), the elegance of the invitation, and of course, the club. The hint that it's informal is that the bride has "elegant-informal" on all of her bridal registeries for her style. I'm thinking classic linen dress with nice jacket? What say the fashion gurus of GreekChat? |
I hate linen because of the way it wrinkles! I'm sure you can pull it off, though...
I think if it were me I'd be tempted to wear a solid-colored sheath dress with one of the little fitted jackets that are everywhere lately. |

So I have an outdoor wedding to go to in a couple of weeks, and I know we talked about white dresse, but, what about a strapless white calf length dress with a black ribbon around the bodice(well, empire-waist style) and black velvety detailing on the front/side of the hem? Crap. They have it in dark pink too, it just wasnt as cute and summery. I also STILL need to find a LIGHT BLUE bridesmaid dress for another pretty informal/outdoor wedding. And do you know how HARD it is to find light blue????

I love this Ann Taylor dress right now, and they have a cute wrap sweater that matches it... http://fp.anntaylor.com/@v=0148@/Ima...989_5823xl.jpg |
So I'm going to SEVEN weddings this year, all friends of my boyfriend...and the first wedding we are going to presents the first wardrobing issue. It's at a very conservative Lutheran church, and it's the pastor's son (my boyfriend's cousin). His fiancee has been married before so because of that they are just having hors d'eouvres in the church fellowship hall afterwards rather than a full reception. The wedding is at 5 pm, and the church is in my hometown but I don't know any members. WTF am I supposed to wear?
