Dear old Ace: Please do not incite riots and anger the prison guards of GC (or their eloquent spokespersons). They may lock you up (or your threads) or send you off to another institution (ban you). We don't want those things to happen, now do we? :D :) We're in the MATRIX! |
"What's it to him anyway?"

You make a good point. Peace, Richard. |

We should feel free to disagree in a respectful manner, however those who "pick fights just to pick fights" may well ruin the experience for others. I don't think that's anyone's right. |

Looks like people are stuck on yesterday's topic. So, moving on...threads that don't violate TOS shouldn't be deleted just because they make the overly sensitive (perhaps this applies to the moderators and their spokespersons) feel uneasy. |

That's the justification for why the "race" thread was shut down, yesterday. Moving on. |

On a different tangent to the above paragraph addressing your question, as you know interpretation of the TOS is a subjective thing of course and it is the moderators and administrators who have the discretion to interpret and act as they wish. In essence the policies are written in pretty broad terms so there's some leeway. But I think most people know what's respectful to others and what is not. As it is a site for adults there are quite few rules and threads are rarely deleted. |

I didn't see the thread to which you allude. My point simply is that it is not fair to any member when someone picks a fight or attacks another member simply for the heck of it. Moderators are volunteers who sometimes make unpleasant and unpopular decisions. Sometimes we have to apply our own descretion. If you disagree with one of our decisions, the only way to get any satisfaction is to take your complaint by PM or e-mail to the administrator of the board. |

Yeah, so anyway..... The thread in question was asking Greekchat members if they addressed "racey" topics with their membership. People had earnestly responded to the topic, at hand. So, I appreciate your participation. |

My comments are generated by and for this thread. As someone pointed out above, respectful contrary opinions should be valued. Your comment to me above does not appear to offer me that option. If I have misinterpreted your "tone" in the reply, I appologize. If I haven't, then I think you are attempting to deny my right to share my personal feelings on this thread, which may -- or may not -- be as valid as yours. |

You don't have to shut up. But, your opinion isn't "contrary" unless it is placed within the context of this thread. If you don't know the context, your comments aren't really pertinent or "contrary." I can't deny anything to you. I don't stop posting because anyone (including moderators) says something...neither should you. But, I reserve the right to both acknowledge and dismiss your comments, as I choose. I can't provide a full reply when I don't think your comments fully apply. I could ignore you, but it's all the same, in my book. |
I swear can any of you throw a frigging joke in here or anything?
