Not too popular a thread, but bumping for current yearly interest (if any)...

My husband and I, who have a very solid relationship were thinking about telling people that we were separating and planning to divorce. :-D But we are thinking about NOT doing it because we think it will make his parents TOO HAPPY. (But then I think he needs to understand that's how they really feel!)

What if it got around and some people tell other people and it becomes gossip and you're not there to follow it up with "April Fools!"
|
I am praying that on April 1st, all 5 of the remaining presidential candidates will call a press conference. They will all come out, hand in hand, big grins on their faces and holler "APRIL FOOLS, YA'LL! You didn't think we were SERIOUS, did you?!!"

Summer_gphib's post reminded me of a type of April Fool's joke that I've seen twice now.
A couple of girls I was acquainted with during college coordinated with their boyfriends to pretend that they got engaged on April Fool's Day. This happened during two separate April Fool's Days, neither of them is friends with the other. Both of them took a photo with their boyfriend and a prop ring and captioned it something that clearly implied they were engaged. Friends and family took it seriously, and it was pretty awkward to see a status update that said it had just been an April Fool's joke. Neither relationship seemed to last long after that prank. |
