Chai is a yuppy drink...it's like hey look at me I'm different and exotic cofees are no longer trendy enough :) I think there is also a brand called Chai that sells different teas.
It's black tea, milk, and spices. I know in the middle east they call tea Chai. I think it's too heavy personally. I love fresh leaves and I personally really like teas without anything added in. In NYC, Moby has a little tea place that isn't too pricy like the other tea joints where you can get some interesting teas but at the end of the day an Earls grey, some sugar, and a little snack are exotic enough for me. -Rudey |
Thanks! It's hard to keep everything straight when it's new!
I have a grammatical error in my post!:o NOW, I have to run over to Superficial AND pet peeves to see who I have totally annoyed!:p |
I love chai and green tea!
I like chai hot, iced and creme frappuccino (Starbucks). However, I prefer green tea hot. I tried it iced once, but it tasted nasty (too bitter. I would drink it iced with fruit juice blends if the tea isn't the dominant flavor! I also love green tea ice cream. It is lightly sweet and it has a delicate green tea flavor. Has anyone tried Genmaicha? It is green tea flavored with roasted or puffed brown rice. I have it many times and it is delicious. The flavors of the tea and rice are very subtle. http://mysmilies.creativesell.net/otn/wink/wink_2.gif |
Kind of off topic, but when we took a cooking class in NM, they used black tea to smoke shrimp. TALK ABOUT GOOD!
It's hard to think of green tea and ice cream in the same sentence! I'll try anything once though. Genmaicha-I've never come across this. Sounds good though. |
We carry Both Chai and Green Tea at the Coffee Shop where I work. But My Personal fav Tea is Orange Pekoe. that's really good.
