Tri Delta is the only NPC sorority, and the only GLO that I know of, to use the dolphin as mascot.

It is one of the few NPC sororities to use its mascot since the the beginning of the sorority's history. While Tri-Delta is the only NPC to have the dolphin as it's national mascot/symbol, there are other GLO's that use it:
Kappa Phi Iota Sorority Inc.
Xi Delta-at University of Georgia
Sigma Psi Delta (I think?)
Alpha Omega Epsilon Sorority (National sorority for engineers)
Kappa Tau Epsilon (Regional Sorority)

I don't know if they adopted it at inception though or if it was changed/ added later. I didn't realize the pearl was a symbol too, not just the jewel-that's cool.

I could be wrong, but I really hope I'm not on this one: Alpha Delta Pi seems to be the only GLO (or at least NPC GLO) who does NOT have any pictures or portraits of one of our Founders!! (This was 1851, after all!)

So, if any of y'all are hiding a likeness of Elizabeth Williams Mitchell, PLEASE cough it up!! :)

I've always thought that symbolism was really cool!

We are the first and, currently, only local at Kent State University. Phi Gamma Pi is unique at Kent because we are the only PC-affiliated sorority that does not let our new members wear letters until after activation. Also, I really love our colors. They are hunter green, coral, and ivory. I really like having coral as one of our colors, even though it's really hard to find.

Sigma Delta Tau also has only one badge. I think it's awesome that I have the same badge as other SDT's around the country. It's a really cool symbolism of sisterhood and unity to have only the one badge IMO. But I do love to look at other GLO's and all the variety that they have and couldn't imagine owning one encrusted with diamonds. My finances are not that rich. ;)

Alpha Sigma Phi was originally founded as a sophomore class fraternity at Yale University in 1845. Back in those days, it was not unusual for Yale men to belong to four different fraternities, some of whom have survived as national GLOs today. (Psi Upsilon and Delta Kappa Epsilon were the junior class societies at Yale.)

The badge of Alpha Sigma Phi has remained pretty much the same since its founding, except from 1864-1874, when the Greek letters A S F were replaced with D B X and the distinctive hieroglyphics on the open book were replaced with dots to resemble text. Delta Beta Xi continues today as the highest award for service to Alpha Sigma Phi.

All members wear the same size badge except for the chapter president, who wears a replica of the original 1845 badge during his term of office. No badge may be jeweled, and in keeping with the non-jeweled badge, the chapter guard and any officer dangles/guards should be plain.

ADPi's diamond is also a symbol associated with our sorority :)

yep, we really don't :( according to the Sisters book, the long exhaustive search failed to locate a photo or portrait :( We did however find a portrait of her father who was a prominent physician and supporter of the church

Isn't Alpha Epsilon Phi the same way with only having one style of badge?
