I wish AEPhi was still here!!!!

What's weird, is that Alpha Chi Rho has a "Delta Sigma Phi" chapter.

Ok, Delta Delta Delta has a:

Delta Gamma
Delta Zeta
Delta Chi
Alpha Phi (pronounced fee)
Phi Mu (with no pronunciation given)

I don't really know any of the frat's names, besides those on my campus, so I'm not much help there.

We do have a Delta Delta chapter; which has GOT to be strange.
We are up to naming Epsilon Alpha...so soon we will see if we get an EZ chapter of Tri Delta.

Our earliest chapters have double letter designations (Beta Beta, Gamma Gamma etc) and yes, we do have a Mu Mu chapter. It's at Eastern Michigan U but has been inactive since circa World War II. When all the chapters were announced at the centennial convention, you can bet they were careful to pronounce it "Mew Mew."

Stan - every Alpha Chi Rho chapter has a Phi somewhere in their designation.

Hmmm interesting. Know why?

In regards to Epsilon Zeta chapter designation, ADPi's Epsilon Zeta chapter is at Southwest Texas State University ~ it's been around since 1966! :)

Phi is significant to AXP, and I believe it appears in all their chapter designations. I don't know exactly why; I assume that is not for me to know.

While my original question was referring to two lettered GLOs (such as a Delta Gamma chapter of Delta Gamma or a Phi Mu of a Phi Mu (which I know now doesn't exist since they skip over)), what about three lettered chapters? Is there a Gamma Phi chapter of Gamma Phi Beta?

AGD is the Delta Zeta chapter
Delta Gamma is the Alpha Phi chapter
DPhiE is the Delta Gamma chapter

Yes, if you look a few posts up, you'll see that we do have a Gamma Phi chapter, they're at Auburn in Alabama. They also have cute jerseys. ;)

Butler University in Indiana is the Alpha Chi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega :)

HEY... I resemble that remark :-} It ain't so bad, and yes, I had a guard on my pin. The Kappa Alpha Theta chapter at Ole Miss is designated Epsilon Zeta.

You are right about getting teased though. How many times a day do you think we got a smirk?? And of course, people who insisted on calling us "KATs" thought they were being doubly cute..... SO freaking original. A good "Southern-Lady-Miss-Manners-Approved" icey stare, with an assurance that we had no idea what they were talking about, usually shut them up!

I've wondered that too... the UBC Delta Gamma chapter is called Alpha Phi, but I don't know any UBC DGs well enough to ask them if there has ever been any confusion. The chapters are so different though, I hardly think there would be.
