No, its just that the casualty rate was so incredibly low that it was easier to have more casualties after the conflict then during it. Bumper sticker slogans are a poor substitute for rational analysis.

If measuring deaths in numbers is wrong, than so is comparing the total number of those who died during the conflict, and those who died after it. There will be probably be US and UN troops in Iraq for years, not for months. This is to establish a stable government and rebuild the country's infrastructure. They will be called peacekeepers, but they will still be risking their lives, and there probably will be more casualities.
