RDiva!!!! (1L soon-to-be!! Claiming it for ya Sis!) ;) Ohhhh I feel old! I took the LSAT so long ago...lol... all I can say is practice does make perfect when it comes to standardized test. If you are disciplined then buy a few test books or CDS and use them BUTTTT if you are anything like me and need structure then take a prep course...I took Kaplan and it was well worth it! I don't believe in luck so Best Wishes(!!!) and if you need any help (like with your personal statement) feel free to email me any time!!!!:D |
In the words of Vesta...
Congratulations! ;)

Butttt I did find someone to sponsor me for the Fed bar and the Supreme Ct. so I am happy with that!:D ETA: I guess i'll wait out the 5 years to look into DC I haven't gotten the full story on how that works yet so we will see! Thanks again my fellow Esquire ;) |
Congrats...hopefully your great fortune will carry me through the next 3 years of law school and hopefully the bar as well. I am already scared as I'll probably be taken the VA which covers 21 extra subject matters other than what we take at Howard:o
But, oh well it must be done, so it will be done! Congrats to you again! Super-congrats! Did you take Barbri or PMBR? Just curious. |

I took Bar Bri and it was well worth it!! I am not sure if you are a member of Phi Alpha Delta (can't hurt to join btw excellent networking in this area) but I got a $400.00 discount by being a member. I did not take PMBR although my 3Ls had strongly recommended it but they passed w/o it so I was fortunate enough to get someone's PMBR books and I got someone's PTEX materials (which is the essay writing prep course). Also... people take PMBR with Bar Bri not in place of it, PMBR teaches techniques for the multiple choice section (MBE section) only and bar bri does the lecture of all the subjects and offers some essay help. If you can afford it all then go for it, its an investment! But I can tell you I just used the books and it was fine. The MBEs are RIDICULOUS and although the PMBR questions are closer in nature to the real MBE as opposed to the bar bri questions this year they seemed EXTREMELY difficult but I got almost enough to waive into DC which shocked me ...lol.... But what I will end with is that all these classes teach you some very important tricks of the trade when it comes to taking the bar, things we wouldn't just find out you know? There is a method to the madness. The MBE folks are a lil lazy, in July I saw about 15-20 questions I had seen elsewhere and the answers were even in the same order as is my study materials..lol...so its good to do as much (without burning out) as possible. :D Anddddd THNAKS AGAIN :D :D :D |
