Is it too farfetched to believe that good people can take the wrong route in trying to help prevent making the wrong decisions? I wasn't saying your mother isnt a good person. Its just been my experience that people like that don't realize they're wrong until a lot of time has passed.

Amen sister! My sentiments exactly! :D

Not that it's anyone's business, but I don't need to go to church in order to prove my faith to anyone.

And I don't think I'm a sinner for not going either. The congregation might think so, but not the one I choose to worship.

Went on Sunday for the first time in a few weeks - I like going, just tough to get up on Sunday mornings (especially when I know I have to work Columbus Day).

There was a Christian organization at my school that used to put up signs during rush that read:

R
U
S erving
H im?

Rio_Kohitsuji 10-13-2003 10:15 AM

Ehh....I haven't gone in 3 years.

And anyway...I was in Columbus seeing Zachie :)

I hear you jess. But...

Some of these things (okay, maybe one or two) can be fun for kids, if planned properly. We had about 60 people (about 10% of the membership) from our church (also Presbyterian) doing the CROP walk -- some rather old, some reasonably young middle age (I'm trying to make myself feel better), lots of youth, and quite a few kids, including some in strollers. The CROP walk is how my son chose to spend the afternoon of his 6th birthday. Kids got to have fun with each other and with "older" folks. To top it off, a local children's museum gave free passes to anyone participating in the walk. We made it a not-to-be-missed party.

But yeah, churches ignore their kids at their peril.

I walk past a church every day, that's sort of like going, right?
