Okay, now I understand what that other thread was all about. I was like, "Why is this person posting about Thanksgiving plans a month and a half before Thanksgiving???"

Our dinner always consists of..

Turkey
sage & onion stufffing
sausage stuffing
cranberries
gravy
roast potatoes
carrots
brussel sprouts

my future inlaws do almsot the same meal but we also have those finnish turnips and mashed potatoes

HAHAHAHAHA OMG my great grandma use to call me sweet tater......i use to cringe when i heard that..... Everytime we would go to a family reunion in Tennessee i would hear that....now i mi ss it.


I am like sigmagirl ...i love this time of yr .....the countdown is on!

Though i love sweet potato and yams....i actually bought at albertsons yesterday a sweet potato pie! yummmmmm!


sweet potatoes and marshmellows are great..... a little brown sugar, butter and marshmellows browned in the oven...yum!

Being that our family is heavy in our southern traditions ( a lot of my realatives down south and well so cal..hehe had t through that in)

our thanksgiving and chrismtas meal......YUM just thinking of it consist of:

big ole' turkey
glazed ham
gotta have mash potatoes ( i feel bad for the one who doesnt have them) and of course white gravy ( though we have brown too for those who complain)
2 types of relish ( the straight out of the can type and the homemade canberry relish
stuffing 2 types" Sage and sausage and regular cornbread stuffing ( even though my fixation on cooking shows lately i am trying to exp with that this yr)
green bean casserole with heavy durkee onions
brocholi cassserole
rolls
gotta have a bowl of olives
my mom makes this pistaschio whp cream fluff stuff ( yum!)



pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheese cake
pecan pie
