TechAPhi from what you are saying several groups can still cob/cor as of now, If I gave my info. to panhellenic about a week and a half ago that I'm interested in cob/cor and they passed it on to the sororites that are still able to cob/cor and haven't heard from anyone, do you know about how long it would be until someone contacted me from whichever sororites?

Just continually impress upon her that just because you are in DG and like your chapter, you might not have made the same choice at Tech...therefore, she shouldn't assume it's where she wants to go either. You don't like all the same clothes, foods and music, why should you like the same sorority?

Impress upon her that if she says like "I want to join because my friend is a DG at so and so school" during rush, it will probably turn the sisters against her. People want to be liked for themselves, not for their associations. That goes for sororities too.

If she keeps getting defensive and upset when you are only having her best interests at heart, I'd ask her if she has anything else on her mind...it sounds like she's got some issues.

It might not hurt to follow up with the PH advisor...BUT, keep in mind that last week was homecoming, so they may just be catching their collective breaths from all those activities.... Good luck to you.

Its awesome that your friend wants to go dg, i am biased of course !! tell her to not decide anything yet and go through rush without ruling anyone out, she might be suprised at how much she loves xyz and has to be one of them !! good luck
