My best friend from home is a Phi Sigma Sigma. We wanted to join the same organization, but Phi Sig is the only organization at her school and we don't have it at Elon. We're both extremely happy with our own sororities, though, and she is going to be the maid of honor in my wedding next year!:)

Surprised
I'm surprised to see so few guys post on this. I have a few friends in every other fraternity, but here on campus my fraternity as a whole gets along well with Kappa Sigma. There the only other house on campus I could see myself fitting in well with. There are guys in Kappa Sigma that chill at our house more than some of our own guys...

My best friend from home is a Phi Sigma Sigma.
Another girl from home I'm close with is a ZTA, and because I was CONSTANTLY over her apt studying for physics last year, I know all her roommates who are ZTAs. One of my current teammates on the track team is a Delta Zeta, and a former teammate is Zeta Tau Alpha. |
My youngest brother went ATO.. He's a cool guy besides that.
For a Sigma Nu that's not necessarily something to be proud of...:D |
i live in a house with another ADPi, 2 KD's, and a Chi O. My best friend from high school is a Phi Mu.

I actually never really talked to girls in other sororities at San Fran State, but when I came to Chico state I immediatley fell in love with one of my sister's roomates who is in ADPi and after that I kept meeting more of her sisters and I absolutley adore so many of them. So, adpialumcsuc kudos for having awesome sisters here :) I have a few Sigma Kappa friends as well, and honestly I love having friends in other sororities. I also am chummy with a Theta at Indiana University who is my best friends roomate.

My best friend from home is a Lambda Chi...at college I was friends with a few people from other orgs.

My two best friends from high school went to UCF - one was a KD and the other was an AZD (she actually is not the reason I chose AZD). Also, another close friend (known her since we were 5!) went to Winthrop and was a ZTA there. A couple of girls who I was friends with through band in hs were Phi Mus at UF, and another good friend from high school was a Kappa at FSU.
Now, on to college! :) I had a friend from work who became a DZ, and that didn't affect our friendship at all. There were two Phi Mus who I became friends with, as well as another DZ, and an Alpha Chi. Also, I worked with a girl who was a ZTA at my school, and we became GREAT friends! I would joke and call her my "unofficial little sister" - she was even a bridesmaid in my wedding! Actually, my wedding party was composed of 2 ZTA's (from different schools), a KD and an AZD! If that doesn't show diversity, I don't know what does! ;) ETA: Oh! I almost forgot about the friend who was a Sigma Kappa at Auburn! |
We had a fairly large Greek Community at my school, and I was involved in quite a few committees (including Panhel Exec) that allowed me to become close to members of other chapters. One of my good friends is a Pi Phi, her best friend is an A D Pi, I had a close friend that was an A O Pi (but then she got weird, and that's a whole 'nother story). One summer I lived with a Chi O, another summer I lived with an A D Pi, another summer I lived with the aforementioned A O Pi. One of my good friends from my rush group is an A Chi O, another one went Theta (but then left). I love being part of such a wonderful Panhellenic community! :)

I am friends with quite a few Alpha Gamma Deltas :D I am also friends with a Kappa that my best friend worked with, and when I was a counselor at summer camp I met a TON of sorority women, Pi Phis, Kappas, DGs, DZs. Alpha Phis, Chi O, they were all lovely women and I keep in contact with all of them !!

Some of my friends are Pi Phi at Syracuse, KKG at Princeton, Pi Kappa Phi at Pitt, Fiji at Bucknell and Pike from Lehigh.

My roommate first semester, freshman year (who I NEVER saw because she slept at home 6/7 nights a week!!) was a Gamma Phi Beta!!! Almost all the people I met in my first weeks went greek. My neighbor was a Pi Phi, the girls down the hall were Kappas, the girl across the hall from me was an AXO. Some of my other friends who lived in another dorm (I stayed there for a few nights before I could move into my hotel) were Alpha Phis, and another Kappa. Through Panhellenic and my classes, I became friends with some ADPis, and a few different houses. While I was close to alot of these girls freshman year, by the time sophomore year had rolled around I wasn't too close with anyone but some Alpha Phis!!!
At ASU, sad to say, I don't have any good friends in any other GLO then Kappa Delta!! |
I have a good friend since High School who is a Chi Omega and another good friend Who is Pi Beta Phi.
My roommate in college was a Phi Mu and another one who was ADPI. LAura |
At Michigan State, I am friends with several AOPi's, one of which was in the same Rho Chi group with me last Fall.
I also have friends who are in other houses at different schools. They are in AXO, ZTA, Delta Chi, and some others that I can't remember right now. It's fun to hear their stories and tell some of mine (the ones that I can tell, that is ;)) |
Another woman in my Rho Chi group & I stayed friends, even though she went Theta & I went ADPi. We both had many Kappa friends, too (I had a lot of Kappa friends before I rushed).
There wasn't an active Phi Mu chapter on my campus, but I had an equal amount of ADPis and Phi Mus in my wedding party. Too bad the groom was "Mr. Wrong"! We could have a Panhel meeting in my DAR chapter! My pet theory is, the further removed you are from campus life, the more Panhellenic you become. In other words, it's more Greeks v. GDIs as opposed to GLO v. GLO. |
