Ya gotta love MTV. They give them all pledge houses! I wish everyone got pledge houses! That would be so awesome!!!

While this will be the same "animal house" crap from last year, there are some cuties in this group!! But again, more hazing, more drinking, and a lot of bull.

Well this season of "Fraternity Life" looks like a train wreck from the start. The trailer for "this season on Fraternity Life..." shows a hell of a lot of vomiting (thanks MTV!). Next episode it looks like they lead blindfolded pledges onto a ledge over the ocean. I would say "What are they thinking?" but it's pretty obvious they aren't.

I will say that I was glad that they conducted dry rush. I would hope that even when MTV leaves and they are not forced to do so, it will prove to be a benefit to them in the future.

Well I for one am glad to see that these guy's arent a bunch of panzys and it seems like there will be some interesting hazing and such goin on. FL2 was Much much much much more entertaining then SL3, SL3 made me wanna puke.

As far as that whole cops comming thing, bleh who cares, everyone deals with the cops and a party at some point, its just that he knew how to deal with them and wasnt upset. At our house we take turns signing off on the warnings. =)

I adore Keldon!

But I was checking out Double Sweetie and didn't see him, which makes me sad. :(

I'm probably gonna be really lazy this time around and wait for the reruns each week if I don't get me some Keldon!

haha, well i havent been lurkin !!!! i got a new puter during the summer time and didnt have any bookmarks and it took me a while to get around to get this one back ! not to mention that fall is like THE busies semester (aside from january term) for my frat, so ive seriously had a hard time knowing wether im comming or going... we don't have a free weekend until like thanksgiving i think...

i have to disagree with what some poeple have said on here. I am not sure how I feel about Keldon. I myself would be a little cautious of someone who is now rushing when they have bad mouthed the greek system and brothers in the particular fraternity. I do kind of wonder why he wants to join, if his reason were legit or not. But i have a feeling i will never find out. I don't think he gets a bid, or if he does he does not stay long because he is not on MTV the web page. Also I do not know why it is such a big deal that he is gay. I know a lot of openly gay guys in fraternities and it has never mattered, maybe it is just differnet here at my old school in so cal then it is in nor cal. Oh well.

As far as this season goes, i feel it is just going to be a repeat of last year. Sometimes i feel like these peopel are not thinking of how mtv will portray them, or what will happen in the future. Like how the house on FL1 got in trouble witht he school and the zoo. I swear I just want to yell and tell them, you are on tv you can't say you didn't do it now!! All I can say is I am glad the national sororities and fraternities will not allow us to do it!

Yea that whole gay thing is kinda odd to me as well. About 2 years ago one of our younger alums who comes by alot came out and we all kinda shrugged, said don't hit on us, and went back to drinkning beer. Like its not a huge deal. I can remember like 3 or 4 guys we've given bids to in the last 2 years that were openly gay, and theres one we're probably going to give a bid to this year. Its totally not a big deal, its kinda backwards thinking if people think it is.

I understand what you're saying - but I basically WAS Keldon before I joined my sorority... well, except for the gay male part...

I really was not a fan of the Greek system, I refused to go through formal recruitment for two years even though my mother really tried to get me to, and I talked more smack about sororities in general and even (eeeek!) about Kappa than I care to remember. I was fully convinced that I was too cool for a sorority, too individual and unique and creative to ever fit in with a big group of snobby preppy girls - becasue that's what I thought they were. I even had FRIENDS in sororities and I was still convinced that they weren't for me. It took one of my best friends weeks of convincing to even get me to agree to come to dinner at the Kappa house, and even then I came only for the promise of free food.

So I think you still have to give people a chance... a lot of people are just really ignorant about what a sorority/fraternity really is all about...

Oh yeah, and the gay thing really isn't an issue at my school either, I don't think. I know a couple of openly gay guys in fraternities, and it's not a big deal. Maybe with some fraternities, but generally not so much.

They've taken disrespect to a whole other level.

The pledges are feeling "disrespected" by each other.:rolleyes:
