i know. we are still talking about the murder and its supposed justification |
I don't support the death penalty.
I detest what Paul Hill, and his mentor, Michael Griffin, did. I feel the anti-abortion bloc will use Hill as a martyr in the cause. Therefore, I believe that he should remain in the Florida State Prison in Starke for the remainder of his days. |
Yup and I would love to pull the switch myself!

If you are against it, I have one suggestion:
Don't have one! or if you are a guy take responsibility so you don't get a girl pregnant! This is about the doctor NOT the issue of abortion! That is a whole nother thread! Quote:

I'd personally rather see him stay in jail - I think the martyr point is a valid one, and I'd rather not have him be a symbol of the cause through his death.
I guess the only justification this guy could POSSIBLY have is that in taking away one life, he supposedly saved many lives. I don't get the logic, don't like it, but maybe that's what he was thinking. |

Wouldn't that still "kill" the baby? :p |
If that Doctor would have performed say 30,000 abortions in a year then maybe Paul Hill performed a service to society.
That is thirty thousand lives saved . . . kind of anyway. |

Kill them all, every last one! Wait, wrong thread. That's a movie quote. How can anyone condone killing a Dr. for performing a legal procedure. I am pro life, and that includes the life of the murdered Dr. If Pro Lifers want to fight for their cause, they should fight in the arena of law, politics, and ideas, not in passing the ultimate judgment of taking the life of another.

Dr. Britton (the one killed by Hill) was the abortion doctor for MY hometown (not where he was killed, by the way). For 10 years, the women and girls of my city have had to travel elsewhere to get a perfectly legal procedure. A woman in a crisis pregnancy she doesn't want to be in will do anything, whether or not is illegal. Just some food for thought. |
The martyr concept is kind of humerous if you think about it...
What he did was kill people for in his mind killing other people (unborn babies). So to condemn the government for executing him for killing people (which is what he killed people for in the first place) is just silly. Get it? |
Did any of you see that HBO show If These Walls Could Talk part one? OH MY LORD! The last episode of that is a girl who wants to have an abortion and she goes and backs out. The next day she decides to go through with it and there is a huge rally. The abortion doctor is played by Cher and in the end she's finishing up the abortion and this guy gets in and shoots her like 8 times. Then he looks at the shocked patient and assistant and was like, I'm sorry did I hurt you? I didn't mean to shoot you *he can't tell cuz there is blood EVERYWHERE. The two were fine but Cher is dying. It was just so disturbing.
I don't care what side you take on the abortion stance, killing others is wrong. Two WRONGS do not make a RIGHT. PERIOD! |
I'm just wondering when the life of this little clump of cells became more important than the life of the mother? I'll listen to the anti-abortion arguement when they all adopt unwanted children, crack babies, AIDS babies, and those born with physical/mental handicaps.
anyway... No fetus killing, but adult killing is ok? Someone already posted this so I'll just repeat - Abortion is legal, Murder is not As screwed up as it is, we have a judicial system in this country that punishes you if you commit a crime. These women voluntarily aborted, the doctor didn't pin them down and kill their babies......Paul Hill murdered the doctor in cold blood - he deserves his punishment. |
