omg....my new fav show!!

i am not a huge tv person...usually its just on for background noise cause i live by myself (oh oh i hope i can move in with my best friend...right after he sells his car) but between the oc and the restuarant...oh man

these two shows....if i am not home on sun nights or tues....def taping to watch later!! gotta love fox for reruns!!

re running again on mon!!

Well, I can't wait to watch again on tuesday!
I think its so going to be another 90210 (which I never watched...my parents thought it was stupid and I was never allowed), but I actually really really liked it. Watching it though, I just kept wishing that's how my life was...if only I could afford all that awesome clothing!! I know only a few people who actually live like that though...I think that the show definitely plays up a smallish percentile of people in OC!!! Oh well, I think I'll keep watching it anyways :)

Ugh. After watching it a 2nd time a few more thoughts have settled in. The media does skew and warp reality and it's understandable cuz it's TV. I really dislike how Orange County is portrayed becuz they're only showing the high class part of it. OC is mostly suburbs and family areas. Also there's Santa Ana a mile away which is very very urban. Whenever I drive from Irvine to Santa Ana it's like a night and day difference.

Story wise I'm interested in how it'll develop.

I caught the re-run last night. I liked it a lot, then again I was a big 90210 fan back in the day. I will try to watch it every week I think. And by the way, there is no way all those girls were high school aged, they looked way too good. They have to be older then that.

Although I myself don't spend much time in Orange County I have friends and family from OC and dated a guy from Irvine. I have to agree with the people on here who have posted that although there are *parts* of Orange county like the show... but Orange County is HUGE and encompasses many many cities, it's not like the WHOLE country is mansions over looking the ocean.... most of it is just your typical suburban neigborhoods.

I guess its good when you dont know whats going to happen, but I dont know where the show is going. It seems that the chino kid cant stay out of trouble.

White_Chocolate 08-18-2003 03:25 PM

i watched the encore on friday
the show is totally over-rated
the acting is horrible except for a couple of people
other than that, i don't think i like the way it's going

especially last week episode with the fire
i mean, how many guys do you know would turn themselves in
(i'm talking about the over zealous, over jealous boyfriend)
if anything, they wouldn't admit to anything
they'd dropped him off at the corner and said, 'glad you're alive'
and in the first place, no one would keep fighting if they say soemthing on fire
especially like the candles that were strategically placed near gasoline or paint thinner or lamp oil(what was that?)

The show is SOOOO unrealistic...I don't really know why I keep watching it at all. It's not that it's like the best show ever or anything, and it is definitely predictable. Next week (ok tomorrow's) episode looks like a very predictable one. The thing I hate is that I think I could tell you exactly what is going to happen over the next few episodes and end up being completely right. Which is sad. Come on writers....throw in some twists and SPICE IT UP...do something daring and unpredictable...I'm WAITING!!!
