That letter was horrible! Geez I would hate to have a would be or have been sister like that. anyways I think shes just miserable and you came along and she decided to take it out on you. oh well thats her loss and everyone else to decides to think like her. I hope you have made some other friends out of that experience.

Nichole

It just never ceases to amaze me how people will act a fool on the email. I think you are well rid of that group, if Abby is an example of their "sisterhood."

I'm not even mad at the young lady who sent you that email. Perhaps her analysis of the situation is accurate.

I do not know what you hoped to accomplish by posting the email she sent you, though.

Exactly!

I'm a silent observer and I've been reading this thread. I have been very confused as to the point of posting something like this. While I agree that the letter from this other sorority was outta line, I feel that rhosigmazeta is looking to get some type of sympathy vote. I don't know, maybe it's just me. But I keep asking, what was the point in telling us this?

Arya thinking the same thing.

Thanks! I agree with the sentiments of the previous three posters.

And you know what, there are TOO MANY books out there to read to see how other Greek Lettered Organizations were founded. I'm not sure how much legitimacy I would give.....ah well, who cares what I think.

While you all may or may not agree as to whether or not it was kosher for her to have posted this message (everyone, of course, is entitled to their opinions), does it make you feel good to belittle the poster and to embarass her?

What purpose does that accomplish?

She hasn't done anything to warrant that- she hasn't insulted anyone here or been rude. There's no reason for anyone to do that to her.

Maybe it was to show how NOT to act towards people who choose not to finish pledging. I know from personal experience that people usually act pretty nasty to those who decide, for whatever reason, to not finish out pledging. Maybe we should all learn from this nasty letter how NOT to act towards those that make their own decisions about Greek Life.

Not everyone will react to the situation the same way these people did :)

It seems like she was upset that she tried to start another organization, not that she depledged the first group. People on here are acting like they don't have any members of their organization that get hot headed sometimes... Come on people, we all have members that say somethings they shouldn't say. Didn't rhosigmazeta say that another member apologized for what the first member sent?

Way to kick someone when they're down people!

For a start she didn't post it with any indentifying details of the sender AT ALL. And so damn WHAT if she was looking for a little moral support after getting a nasty e-poison pen letter like that??!! Geez starting up a chapter/interest group/whatever is HARD people and if people can't come here with the good and the bad or just to get something off their chest then I for one think it's a real SHAME.

I wish people wouldn't post things like 'Perhaps her analysis of the situation is accurate." that is n-o-t-n-i-c-e! If you feel like typing something downright mean do us all a favour and click delete before you send or PM it to me and I'll delete the thing!! :(
