Hi Canadian AOII -
Yes, I've talked to Shala! (I guess it's okay to let the cat out of the bag now -- AOII was the other group I was looking at for Alumnae Initiation. :) ) The "Oh Canada" article was one of the first ones I read when I was going through the process. I remember being impressed that AOII offered fees at par, and posted a thread asking other Canadian Greeks whether their organizations had the same policy. |
one more here!
Guess my sn gives it away! ;) ... I'm an UBC AGD alumna living in Vancouver for another 5 weeks, then it's off to Ottawa for me!

speaking of "oh canada" (and I did read the article online yay!)
I rememebr when I had to sing it at convention ~ it was horrible!!! I'm an alto, and I cannot sing; the other chic was a sopran - there was no way I could stay in key standing next to her!!! It was so embarrasing - but at least it was onlyin front of 300-400 sisters!! :p At least they care enough to include our anthem and flag (although one year we had to point out to them that they were missing it!) On the admin side of things, it can be tough. The whole money issue is sometimes a battle. But, I have an insider who says things will be a bit better this year. I don't know what else to expect from them. They do a great job already. The only thing I'm working on is getting everyone to say "international" - no one, even my chapter sisters, says it. Sometimes I don't mind, because it is a hassle to change (when they've just finished changing just about all other terminology), but then, I'm like, heck, we are international, so we might as well say it! |
I wonder if the NPC will ever become the IPC or the NAPC (North American Panhellenic Conference)...

No, I basically peppered her with questions about AOII. :D But I'd love to be more involved with CIFC.. is there much information about it at canadiangreeks.com?
|
I haven't seen anything further but that would be the place to look, when the time draws nearer.

Sistermadly, check your email :)

Hi AAGamma Girl!
Yup, I'll be @ rush this year, I'm actually a 2nd year student so I'm still very active w/in AOII. Do you know what week rush is? Good luck to you and your girls, some of the Gamma's I know are wicked! See you at rush! |
hey canadianAOII-

i'm canadian... but i live in atlanta. i used to live in toronto tho, for 12 yrs. but not no more )-: oh well the US rocks too.
|
AAGammaGirl...Is there no third round of parties?! That's gonna be SO random to just have house tours and 2 invitationals, I'm pretty sure last year there were three invitationals. Oh and I know we're in different sororities and all (ObviouslY! :D ) but I was wondering when rush retreat usually happens? (First year rusher, it's all new to me!) Thanks!
|
Nope, never mind there were only 2 invitationals last year as well, it just seems really short....
