On the Yank and Northener deal, well, I'm prefer to call myself a Yank. My dad's side is from Jaw-jah so whether we like it or not, we get called Yanks. :p

Well, I tell one thing, football is friggin' awesome "up" here :D I love it in the fall and freezing my butt off in the stands w/the smell of hot chocolate and popcorn in the air, hehe :) Plus, we have some big ole boys :)

Hmm let's see...I also dig the..

..country..weenie roasts, bonfires, mud running, festivals (where else do you have a fair centering around a really bad onion?, and the food!! True, we may not have the jumbo of the south and the texmex of the west but dag on, where else is frog/deer/turtle (sorry DZ's), and etc good eatin'? :p :p :p

Oh, love the VARIOUS accents :) Heck, I think Ohio (or as I say "Ahh-hii-ya" ) has easily 6 different versions.

And yes, I know, I live in Boston - but I was born and raised in CT, and was born and raised a Yankee fan.

Just because it's segregated doesn't mean you don't have diversity. Boston is a very segregated city, but you alot of different types of people. Washington DC is also very segregated, but again, lots of different flavors.

Now my home sweet home NEW YORK CITY is segregated in some areas and not in others, but NYC has diversity like no other place I know of.

That's true about New York City.

I love New York! :D

The North is also home to the greatest Baseball team (Yankees) and the most awful disgusting team (Red Sox) ever.

Well, the Red Sox are winning this series so far, so they are obviously not an "awful disgusting team." :)

I lived in southern RI for 24 years, and I thought it was not diverse at all. I moved up to Boston (Somerville to be exact), and it was such a shock. There were people of all different cultures, which was a nice change, but it was certainly weird at first. But the neighborhood I live in is mostly Irish it seems, not very diverse here either.

I've gotta agree with you on that one.

Born in Connecticut, living in Boston, but from birth till death I'll be a Yankees fan.

(and I'm a true Yankees fan - been one since the 80s, when Don Mattingly, Rickey Henderson, Willie Randolph and Dave Winfield were on the team).

I was born and raised in the Northeast (New York and Connecticut) and now live in the Southwest. I miss the variety that the seasons offered most of all.

The team has their off um, seasons....but Sox fans are the best around. Fenway is one of my most favorite places in the city. Esp. the cheap seats :) So much fun.

Yay Boston!
