I joined BSP because I was a visitor to my Aunt's chapter and saw the true sisterhood the women in that group had and wanted to try to duplicate that feeling in a brand new chapter.

I just started a brand new chapter in Louisville, KY. I only have 5 members right now (mostly between the ages of 20 - 30) and if you know of anyone in Louisville please, please, please let me know

Degree - I just started a Friendly Venture in Toronto for women in their 20s. There is a really need for something like this here. I am the President, we're having our pledge ritual on Sunday and will be named shortly
Why I wanted to join - I pledged 2 sororities in University and didn't really find the right fit, when I heard about BSP, it sounds like just what I was looking for.

I want everyone to know how excited I am and my new chapter. We really want to try to get other women in their 20s involved!

3) Status or Degree - I'm just in the process of joining... so new member? The status thing still confuses me!
4) Why you joined (or are thinking about joining) Beta - I've always been interested in getting involved with a group of outstanding women and doing great things for the community. The NPC groups on campus didn't feel right to me, so I found a more community-oriented group with women my age!
5) Anything else you want us to know - I'm excited to get involved in Beta and on Greek Chat! I'd have never known about Beta Sigma Phi without Erica and Greek Chat!

4) I was looking for a network of professional and other women who were active in the community. I liked what I saw when I visited various Beta chapters, so I was invited in and joined. I also missed the sisterhood I wanted as a collegian, so Beta fit the bill.

5) While I visited the various chapters, I found out that a member was my sister's mother-in-law from a previous marriage. How cool is that? She's been in Beta for years (and I believe is a Preceptor...she belongs to a Preceptor chapter) and reinforced the idea of sisterhood for me.
