The Indiana Jones ride in Disney Land (I think that's where it is), not a huge fan of those scary roller coasters... it took enough convincing by my friend to go on the Batman Ride at Great Adventure, never again.

I had to bump this thread because I worked at Cedar Point over the summer:)
I roomed with an Alpha Phi and one of the many good friends I made there was a Chi O. :) Us Greeks just find each other. |
When I was in school in Ohio, a lot of friends worked at Cedar Point and had a great time.
We used to camp nearby (Gem Beach, East Harbor) in the summer and hang out with them. There was this one huge bar in Sandusky...and this one former Homecoming Queen from Castalia. But I digress. All of my kids love the Cedar Point coasters -- even though we all live in Colordo. |
my faves: the wabash canonball that was at opryland.....my first rollercoaster....i was so little and loved it so much, they let me ride it twice in a row
the mindbender at six flags over georgia.......i was amazed by this ride b/c it goes upside-down over water :D space mountain at disney world.....even though i was scared to death and at king's island in ohio: the vortex, the beast, and son of beast.... fun times!!!!! |
Cedar Point- Raptor
Island of Adventure- The Hulk |
The Beast and the Vortex at Kings Island as far as actual roller coasters go.
I dont know what kind of ride you'd call it but the Tomb Raider ride at Kings Island is one of my favorites too. |
I love roller coasters, even though I don't get to go on them as often as I would like!
My favorites at Six Flags Great America (closest park to me): Raging Bull Batman the Ride Demon (it's never broken when I've been on it! plus the lines are pretty short since it's older) I like the American Eagle and the Viper too. Love those old-school wooden coasters. I hear Superman is supposed to be fun...I didn't make it to Great America last year so I haven't been on it, but I want to! And I have been on the Cyclone at Coney Island. Definitely a must-do. (sherbertlemons: go during the day in the summer and it's not bad at all. You get off the subway right at the park, so no going through the projects or anything. It's lots of fun.) |
At the Old Elitches in Denver they had the old 'Wildcat' ride, while the newer 'Twister' had much higher drops, the 'Wildcat' would whip you harder around the corners, the back car would jump up off the tracks and at moments you wondered if you would be the "last" run. Good times....

i forgot about chang at six flags kentucky kingdom/louisville.....when it came out it was the longest stand-up roller coaster, but i dunno if it still is. when it works, it's great, but when it doesn't work...welllllll.....

The Cyclone
I was in Pittsburgh's Kennywood this past summer. Two of their rollercoasters really kicked. I was impressed.
The best rollercoaster in the world for me, is still the Cyclone in Coney Island. http://www.astroland.com/img/cyclonesm.gif |

There is only one way to ride a rollercoaster:
Front Seat and hands up in the air baby! (Remembering riding the Magnum at Cedar Point!) :D |
