Oh girl, I'll be needing it in a week or so. I'll be counting on you. :p

*munches on a whole wheat bagel*

It's just not worth it for me!

I am going to start Atkins again. I gained weight this week. I was working too hard and long so I had to eat whatever was there.

Entering week two...
I have unfortunately only lost two pounds; however, everyone has told me that they have noticed the difference. I have definitely noticed that my face looks slimmer, and I think that's more important than what the scale says. Starting monday I will begin a workout schedule.

While on the Atkins diet you can't eat fruit, but what kind of vegetables are you told not to eat while on the atkins?

That was why I got on Atkins too. I've lost about 10 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks. Like Leslie, I can definitely see a change in my face. We went out to the club on Saturday night and there I was, drinking diet coke and bacardi. :D

From what I know, at the beginning, green veggies is all you can eat.

I didn't really expect to loose a lot of weight right away like some people do (because I've been stuck at home, inactive, for two weeks), but I had such terrible eating habits that I thought this would be the best way to start eating less and more healthy. And I think some people that try to loose weight take on too much right away. I wanted to cut the carbs and sugar first, start drinking more water, and THEN start daily exercise. When you try to change everything at once, you wear yourself out in a short period of time.

Ahh, I know what you are saying. Definitely true

I think part of the thing with the Atkins Diet is, while you're on such a low-carb diet, you're cutting out stuff like chips, bagels, snack foods, stuff you really shouldn't be eating anyways.

I feel like if you cut that stuff out anyways, you should see results.

But, if it works for some people, more power to you.

My only problem is cutting out "good"carbs: fruit, certain cereals. Yes, there are some items you cut out that most diets allow in small doses, but I don't feel cutting out all carbs is realistic. It's damm hard!!!!!!!!!

I think that I would do better by limiting the amount of carbs I eat as opposed to cutting carbs out altogether. I would probably lose my mind.

Yes, it is damn hard...but after the third day, you kind of get used to it. What I missed most is the munchie hand-to-mouth contact of chips and crackers.
