yea, i remember nationals telling us a long time ago that MTV was trying to contact us, since we were a smaller/newer sorority and to stay the hell away :p

I just wanted to clarify that not wearing letters during Spring semester was a Panhellenic agreement, not just an Alpha Phi thing (as it may have seemed from the DT article).

lauradav....I was on panhellenic and I know that not all houses chose to participate. However, it was suggested at a meeting for presidents and I know my chapter's president chose not to adopt it for our chapter. Other houses may have done the same, I am not sure. Just thought I would clarify :)

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've got information up on the complete cast of season 3 now, including pics.

I've already heard that only 14 of the 16 pledges will be initiated, and I've also heard that one of the house pledges is one of those 2.

I'm acutally excited about SL3 because it will give multicultural organizations more exposure (I hope good exposure). Most people have never even heard of a MC org. This should be interesting. :D

Stupid Sprint Cable better get my cable working by then or else I'm going to have to get satellite!!! I have to see SL 3...it has a USC sorority in it (that panhellenic hates!)

okay about the national orgs not wanting to be on MTV...wasnt MTV making a cribs sorority style? i heard they were filming the DG house at ole miss...there was even an article in the daily mississippian about it but it just said that they were undecided...

what of the houses that were used in trading spaces -- i believe aopi, du, and delta gamma? i guess the nationals ok'd it.

Why does panhellenic at USC hate Zeta Sigma Phi?

As far as NPC groups being on shows like "Trading Spaces" and"Cribs", its all in the presentation. I'm sure a National doesn't mind their girls on television on their best behavior, showing off their houses or working on a safe, wholesome remodeling project. With Sorority Life, they have no control over what the girls do or what gets shown. The drinking, boys, hazing, and other questionable behaviors that have shown up on Sorority and Fraternity Life can be extremely unflattering and no National wants their house to be portrayed in that light.

I would wager because they know people are going to hear "USC sorority" and think they are all the same as the one on TV. Also, apparently they begged Zeta Sigma Phi not to do it and they still did.

I just PRAY that they don't do anything too crazy because I know a lot of people are going to get my sorority mixed up with them http://www.computerpannen.com/cwm/co...ai/screama.gif

I think it's inaccurate to say that USC Panhellenic hates Zeta Sigma Phi. Many members of USC Panhellenic are very upset with ZSP because they chose to be a part of Sorority Life even after they saw the negative spin MTV has put on SL.
