docetboy, you are right, we as LXA can only order them through Internaional. But they are expensive! Well depending on what you get with them! I have seen many Fantastic KS Badges on ebay. What is with the Cresent on top, it should be on the side!!!!

We as LXA have a plain Badge that can be build into the fees charged that are not adorned at all!

But what Bothers me, is that no one wants to wear their Badges. So No One has Badges! Hell t-shits with nike, bud, busch, or what ever is there, but nothing with the Logos of the Fraternity!

I think I will start a theread about that! :)

I wear my badge everyday. It is tattooed on my leg.

Wear your badge every chance you get! I've bumped into so many alums that way. I wear mine at work (at Radioshack) and meet some great alumni that way. I basically wear it any time I dress up (except for when I'm on TV).

When are you on tv? What channel?

ktsnake. By chance, do you at all wear your founders pin?

When members of our founding class were neophyted they were given "neophyte badges."

For some time we were really confused as to what the pins actually were, because they were not pledge pins nor were they member badges and we could not find the pin pictured anywhere. We are still slightly confused as to what they are, and believe they're pins for founders. When we were inducted we were given standard membership badges. Did anythign like this happen with you?

I think Kevin has his pledge pin stuck into the paddle his little brother gave him.

Which is nice, since it's up on display, instead of in a jewerly box somewhere.

The Crescent is right where it should be. I love the Star and Crescent, and will not wear anything different.

wow

there are some really nice badges on this website.

Kappa Sigma has one of the nicer looking fraternity badges but I really like LXA's too. I especially like the LXA very very very plain $9 badge. In this economy, that helps.

I love my organization and its badge, but, I too, like the Phister Alum, wish that my organization's badge had more variation and flare to it. It seems so plain.

But...as mentioned in a previous posting, I do enjoy knowing that all other Chi Phi's are wearing the same badge as me.

Are you in the KC area for Summer? Just found a new GC member who is in KC, ADP!

We could be well represented for a few Brews or Cocktails or a light dinner! You up for it!????

If I remember my general fraternity history correctly, Jack Mason reported that Warren A. Cole actually got the idea for the crescent in Lambda Chi's badge from the Kappa Sigma badge, which Cole called "the prettiest pin prior to LCA."

Alpha Delta Pi requires ALL members to buy a badge from Executive Office prior to initiation. It is part of the fee. Replacement and additional badges can only be purchased through EO or by contacting the chapter and ordering it with them.

As for alpha (pledge) pins, we give those back prior to initiation. They remain with the chapter so they are only ordered if there are not enough for all the new members.

I really like the fact that ADPi has some variety to our badges. While the badge itself is the same, we can get different gems to surround it.

Tom, KC night out? Sounds great to me!!!

Tuesdays and Thursdays, I'm on local just here in Edmond. The University has a tv station (channel 22). I anchor and report for the newscast that is at 5PM and replayed several more times throughout the day.

We were given Candidate Tokens. As a colony we essentially operated as a chapter. As far as ritual/initiation stuff we only went as far as "pledge" or candidate until we recieved our charter.

I wore the Candidate token for 3 years while we worked on becoming a chapter. Our 1 year anniversary is on March 9th.
