I don't necessarily agree with your choice of Presidential candidate, but you get 10 points for standing up in the face of adversity.

I am quite numb with a define green tinge; however, I need to get off my a$$ and make certain that I do everything in my power to make certain that the local and state democrats I helped to elect deliver! Everyone says that 'Oh, it's only 4 years!'. When I thought about what that realistically means for ME, I think about the fact that my children who are now 4 and 7 will be 8 and 11. God forbid something were to happen to me and they had to have a guardian not of my choosing. A guardian that I personally don't feel will have their best interest at heart. Yeah, there are systems in place and morals I have instilled in them to prevail but in four years alot of damage can be done to them.
So now that our nation is being governed by someone whom I feel truly doesn't have my best interest at heart I now have to heavily lean upon all other support systems to make certain that MY INTERESTS are protected! ------------------ "Unless you know the road you've come down, you cannot know where you are going" ~Temme proverb, Sierre Leone~ |
Mojo, you keep saying that the "People have spoken" What "People" are you talking about? You are aware that Gore won the popular vote by a little less than 400,000 votes. The people have spoken, and they elected Gore, now some arbitrary institution--that we like to call the Electoral College--is going to certify a man who did not win the nation vote.
Are you talking about the people that were disfranchised? The more than 50% that voted for Gore? Or are those the people whose voice does not count, whose voices fall on deaf ears. So when you say "the People have Spoken" what is it that you mean exactly. |
Winners never quit and Quitters never win. Luckily for us Bush has won, hence we as a nation have one. Do you mean programs such as welfare, medicare, social security. Yeah, these programs are gems of the nation.
Dex, relax bro. If he was illiterate, he wouldn't be able to read the teleprompter to read his victory speech. He doesn't know what he's doing? Who does until they get there? A person doesn't know how to be a parent until they are put in the situation and they do the best job they can. A pawn for his father? When people have close relationships with parents, yes, they go to them for advice. Forgive him for not coming from a broken home. The country is safe for at least four years. So let me celebrate, by taking a hit. NOW, THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN!! |

Good luck with your new president and God Bless because I'm moving to Jerusalem until he is gone (sike)! |
He can't be that stupid he got himself elestced. His brother didn't mess up the ballots. Idiots not being ablr to follow directions did that. If you can't follow simple instructions, perhaps your vote shouldn't count.
I don't dislike you, you seem to be a thinking fella. I have no problem with intelligent correspondence. Like it or not though, he's OUR new pres. Because I disagree on the side of right, everyone is a little dumber? The narrow mindedness of democrats is definitley seen in those words. As far as Bush's faith we are not to judge, lest we be.. I shall propose a toast to a prosperous 4 years. |
One further comment...
LET'S ALL RALLY AND MAKE CERTAIN THAT WE GET OUT AND VOTE IN THE 2002 ELECTIONS (SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN)!! Correct me if I'm wrong, both houses are very close in numbers (Democrats vs Republicans). It should be our goal to make certain that we take over both in 2002! |
